A correction would be nice at this point. A stable rise is all we need and not a bubble, although it really looks like one already.

I took few seconds to have some look at coinmarketcap and with preev, comparing their prices aren't identical.

Operation Dragonslayer.
Bitcoin Core will be taken down by the superior real Bitcoin (cash).

Okay guys we're done kwukduck is on the house. Every time he's appearing don't sell your bitcoins, there will be another ATH very soon as there is something that's magically unexplainable resulting bitcoin's price into opposite reaction with his words. I guess it will be $12,000 or $15,000.

12,000 confirmed.
$11,000 now confirmed. See guys when kwuckduck is appearing on speculations board the price is surging. And if he will keep on talking like that in no time we might see bitcoin $100,000. $12,000 is very close now so we just have to keep on holding our bitcoins. Many holders are happy on this upcoming Christmas and New year.

As you can see in the screenshot below Bitcoin just hit 10K:

So, what do you think the price is going to do? How long will it take for Bitcoin to hit 15K, or maybe 20K, or perhaps to you expect Bitcoin to correct and start going down?

I'm expecting corrections at $13K to $15K. Anything below we'll definitely see more increases in prices, up to these points. Then a correction may happen to bring the price down to around $10k before a rebound, then we'll see what happens from there.

But right now, i'm still holding.

Selling now would seem too early, but buying is risky as well. Just hold your coins as is is a good option to take.

next?
possibly a lot of media coverage (which has already started) then even more surge of new investors with fresh money in hand to in vest in bitcoin. this will lead to more rise, possibly a bubble forming up around $12,000 and then that bubble bursting and the correction starts. finally drop down to $10,000 again, it can be manipulated to even drop back to $9500ish for a couple of hours before jumping back up to $10,000+ again.
this process can take the next two months.

next?
hopefully better exchanges, more decentralized ones, more better centralized ones with regulations and less scam, more adoption among merchants, faster scaling solutions, less FUD, less big fluctuations, higher prices.

It will not decrease until 20k does not break. Therefore, we can safely rejoice at the coming times in the crypto currency.

Expecting a drop soon. People are obviously going to sell at the $10k mark, maybe a lot of long time holders will also sell few coins. I thinking after the price correction we can expect a gradual rise again.

Yes, But wish it will not happen, I wish it will continue on increasing for this to help many people. I guess if bitcoin price will drop soon then after this drop I wish it will rise again and again. I guess people right now are thinking that they were going to sell bitcoin because the price is rising and they are thinking that if they will sell bitcoin then they can gain money and an extra income for them.

Most of the speculation is WRONG at this time as bitcoin price keep increasing over $10,900 on coinmarketcap.
Almost $11,000 in just a day after bitcoin break the wall of $10K.
Is it going down? No, it's not. Look at the graphs, look at the "acceptance" of bitcoin, people just get ready to face bitcoin futures on December 10th, launched by CME group. Bitcoin may reach $12,000 in this month or maybe higher.

of course the next one is waiting for bitcoin prices to rise to $ 11000. I think this would be an easy thing for bitcoin. well, more so in 2018. there is a great possibility that bitcoin prices could be 2x higher than current prices.

$11k won't be hard to achieve now as its already at $10,400 and we may see $11k price in next 1 or 2 days and if keep on moving in positive direction then don't be surprised to see even price of $15k at the end of the year as its likely to achieve that price in this year so hold your coins till that point of time if you want to enjoy higher profits.

Of course there will be a fall after a rise but I don't think it will happen this year, maybe next year. Can't really wait for 2018, I feel that more good thing will happen next year and obviously we will see a higher price and more popular btc.
A steady rise is extremely possible in the following days weeks or months, this year will be marked in any way because the barrier of the 4 digits was finally reduced, and it's not something that was easy to achieve, if a recount were made about the factors that influenced during this year in such an increase  would be very interesting because at the beginning of 2017 almost nobody imagined that the price would be reached such as this is now, now with a new year approaching we will see how the price moves and in what direction it does.

I'm actually surprised the price of bitcoin still increased right now, it's around $10,150+ right now. I thought there will be a correction after the price hit $10,000 but nope the price keeps going forward. I expect the bitcoin price can hit $11,000 in the end of the year now. I'm not sure though, i'm sure the price will go down someday. Just be ready for it.

I'm sure before Christmas the price will reach at least $ 14,000, the future of bitcoin keeps improving and I think it's a good chance if we want to get profit by buying now and we'll be big profits.

I don't think so that the price of bitcoin can reach $14,000 before this Christmas. Bitcoin is unstoppable and it's unpredictable, we can say it can go $12,000 - $14,000 - $16,000 next year. And if this run of bitcoin will be good and will never stop we might see a big increase at the month of June next year. I believe with those $40,000 prediction for bitcoin , so let's see.

We've reached $10k! It will be corrected and the pricing would settle down to $9k-$9.5k by the year ends. The $15k-20k mark will be reached Q1 or Q3 or of 2018.

we still need to break the $10,000 level convincingly.

it's tough to say what happens from here. price is grinding sideways just below $10,000. this type of formation is pretty unpredictable -- i've seen it break both upwards and downwards from these. in any case, it's consolidating at the top. if it drops, i expect one sharp drop followed by a higher low and a resumption of the upwards trend.

of note, several altcoin charts look like they are coiling for a move upwards and/or already breaking out. this is usually a sign of imminent BTC correction (but not a crash). XRP/BTC, LTC/BTC and DOGE/BTC all look poised for a move upwards.

I think it has a chance to reach 12k to probably a low chance to 15k given the pace it has risen in the past few weeks. I mean, if you would look back, just a few weeks ago it's just in the 6-7k mark, but now, it's in an unbelievable 10k mark, which has never been seen before. I think that can be an indicator of how aggressive bitcoin is right now, thus it can feed off from that trend and continually rise.

Well, that's kind of the $10,000 question (pun intended). I'm guessing we're either going back down quite a bit, because if you take a look at the weekly bitcoin chart you will realize how parabolic we are going but I'm keeping my options open. Something else I've noticed is that, according to bitcoinwisdom.com we haven't hit $10K on the three major exchanges yet (those being Bitfinix, Bitstamp and Coinbase).

kwukduck I love how you can say always some negative things even in the face of greatest bitcoin ATH.
Last time I checked I saw that people are selling Bitcoin Cash to buy Bitcoin - it is happening right now.
While Bitcoin rose 5% in the past 24h at the same Bitcoin cash dropped 4%.
I begin to suspect that you are the biggest bitcoin holder here and your negativity is only an elaborate ruse to make people sell coins, so you could buy cheap BTC.

I now expect a sharp correction wave after I read some technical analysis on twitter. And then another steady rise period will begin that will take bitcoin to above of $20.000 kind of price.

The price of bitcoin has been going up and up and now the 10 000 $ mark has been reached! I couldn't help but I think a serious correction will be coming, the price can't continue to go up. Like always, bitcoin price is very difficult to predict, so we will need to wait and see.

The global price is over $10k, but seeing as how we're talking about $10k in USD it doesn't really count until the USD markets break $10k since that is where the psychological barrier is, for non-USD markets its just another random dollar value. But yes the global price is now valued in the 5 digits in USD.

Anyway, what's next...$20k i guess. Maybe in April.

Things will get interesting when USD exchanges start hitting the $10,000 level for the first ever time. From that point we'll know how the market responds to that level, and then we'll either go up further, or fall back and correct for a short time. I still haven't secured any of my profits and will likely not do so any time soon. I have had enough patience to hold all the way till now, so an extra few months won't hurt either. It's clear the the USD markets (currently hovering around $9950) are quite conservative when it comes to that extra little push, because they know that little push might trigger a massive wave of sellers.

Let's wait for the big Western exchanges to all be over that before it's finally declared.

It means nothing to most of the world and we can see that as they've already blown past it. It appears to mean more than I expected to USD traders.

As an aside, why is Bitstamp considered the price everyone waits for?
Bitstamp is the price Mycelium quotes,  so that's the one I generally go by--which is strange because I must've been asleep if bitcoin hit $10k.  It's been in the $9000s ever since I woke up this morning.  After $10k, we'll probably get another correction, and then after that (hopefully) we'll get to $15k.

The world has started to catch on that bitcoin might have something to it, you know?  It's hard to ignore a bull market this powerful, even for the skeptics and die hard bears.

The rise of Bitcoin is inevitable and it is still going to continue way above some levels that are completely unexpected but there might be some rebound near $9500 level (or I think that it has already been slipped there) and now recovering to over $9900. The main place according to Fibonacci is 11639 and after it breaks, 12890 and 14650 are the most important targets. I believe we are only going up and there's no downturn this time for Bitcoins.

I concur. The new floor would be $9000 and it will stabilize in between $9000 and $10000 (more or less). Whales pumping and dumping a little bit then pump.is the new trend for them. They do accumulate a lot of bitcoins and money alike by doing so.

Agreed. The correction shouldn't be too steep. 10% sounds like it's in the ballpark of a nice stable area. Whales will be trying to drop the price right now as many people have probably already sold at 10k. We'll see them pumping again when we hit a lower milestone, maybe around 9,500 or 9,000. Regardless, I think the overall support for bitcoin right now is too strong to make room for a drop that's more than under 9,000 for the price of btc.

My expectation is that there will be a lot of volatility but not a crash, at least not yet. There will most likely be profit takers but Bitcoin is getting so many new investors and attracting so much attention, that I think overall there will be a continued rise for a while. With any investment such as stocks or cryptocurrencies, there will be corrections and periodically there will also be crashes, but I just don’t see that quite yet with Bitcoin, but I’m no expert.
