I don't like siting on IRC so it will be a good thing to post best ideas here on forums.

I'm in contact with the head of the anonymous news network on facebook, and I got him to accept bitcoin donations for his efforts.

I feel like the anonymous community could latch onto this and give it a huge bump. They have ties to larger communities like reddit, and colbertnation.  I think this is the road that would likely make its usage spill over into the irl.

meanwhile, I'm available for graphics/video production for a discounted rate as I've got investments in bitcoin, and would like to see them grow.

An idea came about in IRC (credit: Blitzboom) for a new room to talk about PR, marketing strategy, and quick alerts to new media.

At #bitcoin-marketing a more focused and progressive discussion could take place about how to spread awareness about Bitcoin.

It would also function as a way to quickly organize a crowd for reddit, slashdot, and hacker news discussions.  The key here would not be spamming upvotes or anything, but rather trying to spark thought-provoking discussions at the right place and time.  Edit: Also public Twitter conversations/ideas.

Of course these #bitcoin-marketing discussions would spill out into the other rooms (bitcoin-dev and bitcoin-discussion) and that is a good thing!

As was mentioned on the EconTalk podcast (http://www.econtalk.org/archives/2011/04/andresen_on_bit.html), there is no real "infrastructure" with bitcoin, which means PR is a bit under served perhaps.

All this having been said, this is just an experiment.  Come talk strategy etc if you want to.

UPDATE: sgornick, brunner, chmod755 and skreuzer are in the house!
