I have two of these and connected one to a hub (bitcoin merch hub), it would mine full strength for hours or days and then eventually stop hashing altogether. So I just run my hub from my computer now. Sad.
I would like to know if someone can tell me if there is a way to turn off the raspberry pi display screen at night. These are in my bedroom and my wife doesn't like the light

There isn't a.way to turn the screen off without logging in to the unit via ssh (username "pi", password "raspberry" and closing the process that runs the screen.
You can access this by typing "sudo screen -list" and attaching to the correct process running the screen program.

To really get the most out of the Compac F's you need to drive them with 3.4A+

i have a hub that is rated for 2.1 amps and currently connected 3 compac fs im not nearly getting the performance i should out of these. mostly in the 500-699ghz tops. any thoughts ? thank you for your response.
Um, the Compac-F has their own thread that you may want to read through. Bet most if not all of any questions you have - including power requirements and current pulled vs freq - are answered there...

You can do this, as long as the hub is capable of supplying at least 2.1a or so per port. Do not plug extra sticks into the USB ports on the Mars Lander itself as the USB card in the device cant provide enough power.
