Just a bump to remind everyone to rate your favorite (or most hated) bitcoin merchants on btcmerchants.com and if there's a merchant not listed and want it on there (or you are a merchant yourself) feel free to list your site or PM me the details and I'll get it on there for you.

Any merchants who haven't added their site yet but are too lazy to do it themselves, let me know and I'll add it for them, just send me a PM or post on here and I'll get it added.

We've had a very good response in our first week with 39 listings posted and over 200 hits on the site.  Not too bad for not having a google rank yet.
BTC On Tilt (BtcOnTilt.com) Online Bitcoin Poker. Non-stop Free Rolls and Promotions.

Need any more info?

P.S. Yes, I'm lazy. Smiley

lol I already added you yesterday but I'll update it with the info you just gave me.  If you decide you want to manage the listing yourself you can create an account and claim the site as your own in the future.

Another small update - added a new listing package and added Twitter promotions for all bitpro level merchants.

Remember to add your site and review any sites you've used!

Sorry about the payment limitations, we did have the bitcoin payment system set up through bit-pay but we did some updates last night which broke the gateway so we are working on getting it fixed now.

Believe me, we don't want to accept paypal, this is only a temporary solution.

I'm soo confused my site listed twice.... and I don't remember signing up for an account, how do i edit?

I just checked and you do have an account, just log in with your email and password and click manage listings to edit your listing.  If you need your password reset send me a pm.

The first is btcmerchants.com, a simple to use but detailed merchant directory for businesses that accept bitcoin.  If you have a bitcoin site, make sure you check it out and list there (it's free).

Nice, and thank you for adding the Charity & Non-Profit category.  We have the biggest "no-brainer" solution for any charity to accept bitcoins:

https://bit-pay.com/forCharities.html

We will be making a big push in this area to create a positive image for bitcoins, and bit-pay is providing the payment processing to eligible charities for no charge!

Just a quick update - we added some changes/features to btcmerchants.com

  • You can now send private messages to listing owners
  • Featured listings now appear on the homepage
  • If your site has been submitted by someone else you can now claim it as your own and it will transfer to your account

The bitcoin payment method got broken somehow when we were making updates but we hope to have that solved shortly and some new features and updates should be coming down the line this week as well.  Thanks for the support!

Hey everyone, I just wanted to give out a quick plug/status update for two of our latest projects.

The first is btcmerchants.com, a simple to use but detailed merchant directory for businesses that accept bitcoin.  If you have a bitcoin site, make sure you check it out and list there (it's free).

The second project is the Bitcoin Merchants Association (btcma.com). This service will be specifically geared toward merchants who accept bitcoin and provide news, special offers, and the opportunity for merchants to network with one another and share ideas, experiences, etc.

Btcma is still in development but btcmerchants.com is live.

The best way to help the bitcoin community grow is to promote businesses that use it so more consumers can gain awareness. Thanks for reading and you can follow updates on both sites via twitter @btcmerchant and @btcma.
