I will not use it because it will kill your phone, use pc if intend to mining, the results you can not match your phone's life
not useful if using too many scam phones hanging around

Fixed that for you... We're not in the altcoin subforum, so we're talking about BITCOIN mining. At current diff, mining BTC with your PC is a very, very, very bad idear.

tested it and yes you're right. it's not wasting time to run it but it does screw up our battery and i think this kind of app can make my windows phone gone dead very very super quicker. trying this apps is wasting time for sure because we will hate that apps later after we tried it. just like you said, leave it, never think about that anymore. that mining job will never be possible for any kind of phone.

Sure it's not worth it is just for fun and I do not recommend "mining" bitcoins on mobiles if you care about the device.
If you really want to mine something on a mobile, better go for electroneum.

Small earning for lumia honestly its not worth it and it can broke your phone sooner.
Did you tried to withdraw your earnings since you already earn already from mining in your phone do you have withdraw txid?
I have lots of phone here from my customer that i fixed but customers never came back so i think i can use all stock phone here and mine few satoshi if ever its a legit software..
Well I have changed the screen a few times, and Windows Mobile is a dead OS. Only the camera is fine but no use for the phone. I know it's maybe better to sell it instead of mining with it but.. it's just for fun. Well from time to time I have to check it because it use more power and it shuts off and you have to start it manually.
You can see the transfers here

Sorry guys to disappoint you but I'm still mining with my Lumia 1020. Yeah I know it's sounds crazy but I'm doing this since November last year. It is just for fun, not real profit. In the begging was like around 8000 satoshi every week, then started to make 5000 every 2 weeks now its more like 5000 in 3-4 weeks. Till now I have mined approx 80 000 Satoshi. The phone is at work so no bills for electricity.

The image shows you're creating SCRYPT hashes, bitcoin's POW algo is SHA256D, so whatever is happening, you're not mining bitcoin with your phone.

IF, for example you're mining Litcoin with that phone, this calculator tells me that at current diff, you should be mining around 21 litoshi's/day... That's ~600 litoshi's/month... Still far from the 5000 satoshi's you say you mine...
This leads me to belief that the software is either mining an even lower diff coin but mislabeling it as bitcoin, or it's doing something completely different (like showing you adds, or mining even another coin with a mobile friendlyer POW algo, if such a thing even exists), or you *might* be looking at your stats wrong... Several years ago, when the diff was many factors lower than it is today, 5000 sat/week was a possibility, maybe you're looking at historic stats?

I guess you are right. I haven't really thought about it so far. Just tried the app for some time and saw that I got transfer after the fist 5000 were accumulated and then just let it work. I guess it is not really mining but more rewarding for watching ads. Sounds really unrealistic for sure.

Minergate allow you to mine with ur phone but not really a good thing to do? you're going to be earning SUPER LITTLE AMOUNT of coins.
Most apps out there are fake and scam i would say but minergate is legit and allow you to do mining on phone. CoinHive allows too

Yeah its possible to mining on windows phone. Cheesy
But its waste time and energy, you just spent batteries and your income form that its very little.  Cry
Better you join signature campaign and post in windows phone. Tongue

Yes even with powerful computers with latest GPU or CPU with multi core, people are not able to find their mining profitable. So, with a phone, definitely we can not catch the profit with mining. better do faucets, you will see some profits.

There are too many miner that compatible for androids and windows but this is not recommended you can only earn few satoshis and it can destroy your cpu or gpu of your phone its better to dont install the miner software i was tested before my phone got sick and very hot after that phones hang few days ago my phone is dead and it cannot detect to my laptop.. so Im technician i repair it  and i saw my cpu chip burned..
If you want to mine just buy a asic miner like usb miner or ant miner s7....
Just like my thought Grin Don't know who created this while they know that this miner is useless because bitcoin is not mined with profit on phones

It's extremely reckless of you to get the phone to mine bitcoin. Mining bitcoin will take up your resources especially CPU and maybe GPU and the hardware are not designed to calculate, withstand under such heat caused by mining, so using your phone to mine only lead to waste your battery without getting any income, damage your phone. However if you want to mine something, I suggest mangocoinz if it supports windows phone

Even alt coin mining also not profitable in phone.

there were some coins that you can mine with cpu only, not even a strong cpu, if you're able to instamine them, it might be worth to do a try with a phone, but not sure on the profit

i think, you cna earn more by resolving catpcha with faucet, unless this coin get big afterward

I've said it before in this very thread: Mangocoins Smiley
I used to make about $5/month running their app... It's not really mining, the creators mine the coins, and send them to your android wallet in return for excercising...

Mining from smart phone is known for waste of resources.

It is in fact worser than just a waste of time or battery resources. Smart phones do not (and cannot) have a good cooling system. Mining with your smart phone will surely get it overheated, and you just put your phone in a big risk of failure.

I tried it on an android Quad core 1.7 GHS MTK phone, tried mining almost every algo, made nothing... Not a single share. It just drains your battery and overheats the rest of your phone.

Altough we're not in the altcoin section, i would recommend mining mangocoins (if they're still around that is)... It's not really mining, you just receive coins the creator mined. The more you exercise, the more coins you get (he uses the motion sensors and GPS to see how much coins you'll receive).

exactly that was just i was saying ...your mobile could online give around 500-700 khs/s ...that is too low....my notebook with amd gpu gives around 31-32 MHS/s

I am pretty amazed that your phones haven't exploded when you tried mining with them. Honest to God when my phone would start heating up this much, I would get scared it will just explode or burn itself to the ground!

at this point it's vastly better to go play with faucets and automatize it through a bot or something, then damaging your device(but i believe they will go in protection, so there is no really the need to worry about this) and playing a mining game which is pointless at this point

any mining activity is useless, especially with current price, with every not-large mining activity(like farm)

you can mine with every device. however, you won't make anything, but you will damage your phone in the process.

This is true you can do it by hand, but it would obviously not get any reward.  My favorite is the nintendo doing it - http://retrominer.com/

So it is possible to mine on a LOT of devices.  It is ROI math that comes in important.   Sadly now asics are pretty much as must on bitcoin mining.

oh wow, retrominer is pretty nerdy! thanks for the mention, I really like it. will never ROI or make money, but still a cool thing Cheesy

Brilliant idea, but phones don't have enough processing power to do the mining in a timeframe that would ever pay you...it would be a painfully long time (if at all). Do you know anyone with solar power? Set up a system with that person (because of electric is so cheap).

Good luck.

This will make the phone work to a much higher rate than it was designed for. It will likely overheat and break faster, and the rewards are not likely to compensate.

I have done a few programs on the phone where I ran 24x7 and most are surprisingly well built.  Sure I did kill a few phones.  But overall most lived.  The program I was using pretty much died so I have stopped this a while back.

But mining on a phone really does not make sense.   Just is not enough power to make it worth while.

Don't. It's literally a puny little phone against large machines built for mining bitcoins. The only thing you'll be doing is wasting your battery life and phone. If you want to really start mining then it'll take a lot more than a phone to get something out of it.
