According to some data, this machine will generate about 500 MH/s, which is 0.5 GH/s. Generating about $0.3 a day in current difficulty.

The CPU is completely irrelevant for this. The GPU is relevant, but I think you underestimate how far behind ASIC it is.

This machine is better suited for Litecoin mining. If you want to mine Bitcoin, use ASIC or nothing at all.

If you want the machine just for that you may as well throw your money in the toilet. (I mean, really, a Mac? Even if you do go GPU mining, get a proper rig, you can get the same for 25% of the price).

Your question is too big to answer in a small message.
I would go into the mining subforum and read for a very long time before you decide.

Hello to you all
I'm writing in English because it more easier for me in the forum but I'm from Israel.
So in the last week me and my friend started to ask our selfs why shouldn't we start mining Bitcoin alone.
We don't have money problem so we can invest in some super mechine.
I know there some ASICs dedicated mechines out there in the market and the most reasonable thing to do if you have the money is to invest some 12,000$ in some super machine but.....what will be after ? If we will succeed or not we will be getting to a time that we want to stop mining for some reason and we will be stuck with 12,000$ statue in our living room because we will not be able to sell it in the market. And the big question is why not buy some super Mac Pro (2014) with some 12 cores CPU and 2XGPU and use it for mining bitcoin. Maybe it's not as got as ASICs machine but at least we will be able to sell it because there's a great market for Mac in the world.
This mechine will be available in 2 weeks from now and we can start mining with it in 3 weeks from now.
Someone can tell me how much GH/s we can get with this mechine? Is it matter if we buy a 6/12/24 cores mechine for more GH/s?

Here is a http://www.apple.com/mac-pro/ to the page of the new Mac Pro

And here is a https://www.kncminer.com/products/neptune for the ASICs super machine
