I use it for payments basically, and it's mostly payments for services rendered to me by not necessarily in procuring an item or grocery which I'd love to but it seems we don't have many shops accepting it.

no doubt that millions of persons are in the Bitcoin because of the ease of handle the transaction from person to person .
But there are many things in the Bitcoins that are really useful for everyone , for example we can use Bitcoin as the gold acid for the more profit then what we can got from the original gold stuff .
And also for the altcoins trading we need only Bitcoin because most of the altcoin depends upon the Bitcoin and the Bitcoin price  .
When we need to use the Bitcoins for other other purpose , which are regardless of the factors that what the charge we need in the Bitcoin transaction for fast confirmation .

At first,i used bitcoin for sending money from abroad as transaction fee was very low and transactions were very fast at that time.
Then i started to realize the true potential of bitcoin and its ever growing demand. Then i started to buy bitcoin as a long term investment which could yield huge returns.I bought bitcoin for $650 and now its $1943.

Personally I am using bitcoin for multiple purposes regularly :
1. As Investment
2. To top-up my phone
3. To purchase games from steam
4. Have bitcoin debit cards which I am using with paypal and also using it to run ads on facebook
5. I have also made several cash withdrawal with that card from my local ATM machine.

We can do almost anything we like to with bitcoin and in near future may be we can use them as we use cash/credit card these days.

I mostly use my bitcoins on most investments online and paying my bills like internet bills and electricity bills which is allowed by our local wallet here.I mostly uses it to send money to my relatives
In my view it's a multipurpose value storage token which has got usages from an micro earnings to a huge volume transactions support system. Due to the anonymous nature it'sservice got extended to various sectors all around. Most of the time I give preference to it as an investment for a better profiting in the future.

You will not use the word "cheap" and "Bitcoin" together in a sentence lately. Bitcoin is anything but "cheap" with the state of the Mempool at the moment. We have miners who care less about the network and more about their own pockets and people funding massive spam attacks to fill the Mempool with worthless transactions.

Bitcoin is "cheap" when you transfer huge amounts of money, but not cheap for micro transactions. ^sad^

Are the miners spamming the network with worthless transactions in order to increase the transaction fees?
I guess that this conspiracy theory makes sense.
Bitcoin isn`t cheap, but it might become very cheap soon...

People are using bitcoin not only because it is fast or what, it is becausebof it's price and advantage. Because people could earn more money through bitcoin since we do not pay taxes on using it, because it is decentralized, that is why the Government is not accepting bitcoin as a currency, because corrupt politicians can't even touch it.
