So I finally decided to start entering into the world of bitcoins... Can someone help me... Don't fully understand it. So I buy bitcoins... at somewhere like bitstamp or mtgox... then where do the bitcoins go? I downloaded the bitcoin client from bitcoin.org. Do i have to withdraw bc from sites like mtgox into my wallet? Whats the cheapest place to buy BC with USD ( preferably paypal or CC )

You spend BTC like you would spend a dollar. Find a place that accepts bitcoins, and then spend them. Use your wallet to transfer payments.

Basically owning is the ability to transfer value from an address.  So if you buy some coin at mtgox, you can the transfer out to a blockchain.info wallet, or local client or whatever.  Moving bitcoin funds around is easy, usually free and quick.

You'll have trouble buying with paypal/credit card as they're reversible and bitcoin aren't.
