What coin would you actually recommend to mine then?

If you're talking about software, you can use cgminer: https://github.com/ckolivas/cgminer

I think it's the most profitable one and it's the one I've used without an issue.

He's talking about making a quick buck.

cgminer is a miner software and has little to do with profitability. Much more depends on the equipment.

Lol, I think I was having a brain fart when I wrote profitable.  Sorry.   I think I meant to write "popular".  Sheesh on me.

You could always mine something like scrypt, although I'm almost certain the most profitable option for you is to do nothing.

Do you get rewarded with Bitcoins for running this? If so how...
There is no reward by the network for running a node, BUT, bitnodes does have an incentive program where you can win money for having a full node. You can check it out here: https://getaddr.bitnodes.io/nodes/incentive/

Hello all,

I have installed on my super fast server Bitcoin Core I believe this is called a 'Node'.

Do you get rewarded with Bitcoins for running this? If so how...

Many Thanks,

Make sure you have opened outbound connections and firewall is not blocking it. Else, it is not a node. See https://bitcoin.org/en/full-node. And no, you won't get any reward for running Bitcoin core.
