Hello fellow traders,
Maybe this topic was in the forum before, I'm new. Do you think options expiry is important for the price of bitcoin or it's just irrelevant?
I observed a few past bitcoin options expiry as I read some news about it but did not notice any major impact on the bitcoin price.

It's doesn't have a time period for the expire of price. It's just the price of bitcoin had dumped or pumped. Both this happened with the increase or decrease in the demand of bitcoin. When new traders get into the market, surely it will increase the price of bitcoin. If the bitcoin price had increased, the traders and investors will get profit from it.

Right, I don't worry about it that much, just keep it in mind and observe volatility

I guess expiry is more of the concern for institutional investors.
It is on their side but you and I as a typical investor, we don't have to care about it. But if you want to use those expiries, you can use it as a reference and treat it that there's something about to happen if they are about to expire.
Other than that, it's what I think that you can use for checking prices.
Good. If you are into it, then it's really going to be a part of your trades because you have money on it. But outside the options and become the investor that we used to be and just like others. It's only going to be your reference and part of your observation.
It could be helpful in some other times when you are comparing it or looking for a reason why the market is up or down.

November 27, 2020 and December 25, 2020 graphs look higher than others,
maybe the price will go up, because on the chart on 30 October 2020 the Bitcoin price has increased,
even though I thought this would be a decline, but no, I hope the bitcoin price can hold in this price from Bitcoin options expiry.

Thanks, helpful article. I guess expiry is more of the concern for institutional investors.

For me, we can include the Bitcoin options expiry on one of the reasons for the bitcoin price, BUT for me, it's just the price volatility itself will be affected, no more.
If you can check this article by coindesk, they also mentioned the Bitcoin volatility-related with the Bitcoin options expiry : Scary Bitcoin volatility? $750M in BTC options set to expire for Halloween.
