Paypal fees are increasing and a lot of people do not agree with their rules.
People say that bitcoin will usurp fiat. I think otherwise. I think Fiat will stay where it is, but bitcoin will be a widely accepted payment method, like PayPal. I can't imagine ordering a cup of coffee and waiting half an hour for a late block.

Maybe, someday bitcoin will accepted by people around the world and become the first and most payment used for payment in the future. But, every people need accept the bitcoin first.
Its more realistic bitcoin will be an option as paypal then be able to kill it, some people wont change or use bitcoin because its not printed and not controled. Soo bitcoin can get its place online and on the real life, but in the end will become an extra option, the same way western union keeps alive with their service.
Its impossible that paypal will be replace by bitcoin.. paypal will be still remain because its more popular than bitcoin also they are giving good security for their costumers.. unlike bitcoin.. but many good things in bitcoin that we like..

bitcoin has the ability to replace paypal because of its number of major advantages over paypal. many of my friends, who were using paypal a lot for every online transaction, have now started using bitcoin and reduced the use of paypal. Maybe in a few decades

i think that it could be happen in future because bitcoin give easy transaction, no need to fill any document, as long as you have bitcoin in your wallet address, you can send your bitcoin to every people which have bitcoin wallet address too. i heard that paypal will integrate their system with bitcoin, but i don't hear any news again from paypal since i don't use it anymore.

In my opinon, not Bitcoin itself. The currency does not have the stable backbone for becoming a mainstream used currency yet. Maybe it could change in the future when right things will be decided to further develop Bitcoin.
Once again, once lightning network is working as it should, then yes, the entire planet earth transactions of all currencies ever at the same time could run on the bitcoin blockchain. We will get there.

Certainly not. In the history of mankind, although there have been forms of currency that had a dominant market share, there have always been alternatives with a significant user base. For the success of Bitcoin it is not necessary that it replaces all other means of payment. Even if it manages to reach a currency market share of only 5% it will be a huge success.
In my opinion Bitcoin has the best chance to dominate online payments while it will be less successful or at least need substantially more time in brick-and-mortar sales.

Actually there is a possibility that bitcoin may replace these services. Bitcoin is fast and reliable. No need for identifications like any money transfer services. You can use bitcoin and convert it into other physical currencies. Bitcoin also has the lowest fees when you have transactions. I think that it couldn't replace every mean of payment, at least not totaly. For that the whole finance world and policy should chamge and that is not very likely. But it could become more equal and more accepted. But it could become more popular then some money services (like PayPal), that is for sure.
You and most others? I would have to dissagree with that, I don't think 'most others' think that Bitcoin could replace a giant payment processor like paypal. With any luck, it will gain more marketshare, but there will always be alternative payment options, even other altcoins.

I don't believe that Bitcoin will replace every alternative means of digital payment systems nor supersede paper money because in essence Bitcoin has been a super-volatile commodity used by investors and speculators to yield big profit in the shortest time possible and this won't make Bitcoin a good national currency for any country in the world. It is very possible that bitcoin may replace every means of payment in the future, but there are factors need to be met to make that happen. The first thing to establish is the internet connection. This thing should be available everywhere else the idea of Bitcoin replacing all the means of payment will simply wont happen.
From the very beginning when I knew about paypal, I wishes that paypal spread to all over the worlds as with that those services who use paypal for their payment will have access to all over the world, but when I heard about bitcoin, I forgot about paypal and found bitcoin as my goal.

A payment method that will surely stay in existence are gift cards.
Why? As the boss of your company you don't want customers using the gift card of your company to pay for competitors.

I am positive that bitcoin will conquer online virtual transactions but to say that it will replace paypal and other sites I dont agree. Paypal right now has integrated bitcoin in their transactions it will not take long that bitcoin as a mode of payment will be implemented by Paypal. These transfer sites will no going to vanish but instead will going to adopt and integrate bitcoins in their operations.

i think it is a new thing, and if i am not mistaken. it is not a cooperation/partnership instead coinbase has only added the option to only pay you your money into your paypal account. there isn't even a deposit from paypal option.
It has already replaced a number of online payment systems, now people prefer bitcoin for their online transfer of money, and try their best to find those places where bitcoin is accepted as payment for purchases etc.

I think bitcoin will be one of the popular means of payment in future. It will not be the only one. Traditional banking/payment processors will evolve and will continue to compete with bitcoin.
People will just choose the features they want in the payment of choice (both senders and receivers).
Do you know that once you deal with a seller (without any escrow) most of the time you have to send first the money, what happens in the seller does not response to you never, you can't ask for a refund like in paypal, paypal can't be replaced by bitcoin.
I do think that paypal is the 'escrow' in that case, this is why they allow chargeback anytime. When you use bitcoin and you are buying something online just use an escrow service (like bitrated) and you are fine. I don't get why you should not use an escrow

7 years before its creation and people still think that Bitcoin is anonymous, this is very dangerous.

Bitcoin is not going to be some sort of miracle currency that is going to take away the need for paying with cash or other fiat payment systems, at most Bitcoin will become something that will back other currencies, partially due to the lack of really quick transactions with Bitcoin as of today. Bitcoin could definitely be a massive game changer, but it won't affect people on the individual level.

I think bitcoin does not replace, but it only adds to our choice choose what want to use such services. Why bitcoin should replace all the other methods of payment? I think bitcoin (as method od payment) is a good and valid alternative to spend my money without any type of censorship, low fees and high security.
Paypal doesn't offer these type of things but (you will think) it's more used and accepted than bitcoin itself, give to bitcoin another 15-20 years
