I would choose bitcoin any day, I think most of the crypto users would prefer Bitcoin. LTC is one of the best cryptos but overcoming Bitcoin isn't easy. I think LTC has competition with Ethereum. And Bitcoin is far far better than LTC/ETH. So, for trading, I would prefer Bitcoin any day anytime and I don't think I have to mention why I admire bitcoin most. I just want to state, Bitcoin is the only crypto which is fortunate for me and gives me a massive amount of profit.

As a trader you need to follow the asset or assets that are presenting the biggest volatility so you can profit from their movements and in this market there is no doubt that the best investment is bitcoin, forget about altcoins for the time being and only give your attention to them once it is clear we are in an altcoin season.

I can also suggest altcoin which is belong in the top 100 because it has a huge potential to earn big profits from it than a top 2-10 in CMC.When we think of Litecoin, it has got a good team that keeps updating to the necessity of the market. Whatever you do short-term trading or long-term trading the point is would you only buy coins? Tbh, if you really want to do trading then you can trade on any coin whatever its LTC or BTC. One thing that I do notice about altcoins is that if they want to increase, they can really increase far more than what bitcoin can even get to at once, but they are not always sustained, their increase is very seasonal unlike bitcoin that could go low and high severally within a very short space of time, so investment in both of them would really be the wisest choice for people to make.

With the three options mentioned above, I choose to invest in bitcoin above them because bitcoin has a high possibility to give better profit than others. It can record over $500 - $1,000 in a day whereas Litecoin and others hardly go above $100 profit in a day

It is kinda easy to understand what you mean by Bitcoin "recording over $500 - $1,000 in a day", which seems to refer to daily price swings (i.e. volatility). But to correctly compare volatility of different coins with very different price tags (like Bitcoin at 10k and Litecoin at 70), you should use relative volatility (read, percentages) and not its absolute value (in dollars per coin). Otherwise, direct comparisons don't make any sense. And if you analyze Bitcoin's volatility versus the volatility of top altcoins, it is unlikely that Bitcoin is more volatile than the rest of the pack. But your daily profits (or losses, for that matter) depend on it

Yes it's true that when btc rise up altcoin dump. And it's happen because of btc popularity. No matter which altcoin you talk about it's not much popular than btc. That's why people eyes on btc when it's rise again. But if want chose some altcoin then BNB is perfect for that i think. We all talk about ETH, LTC or BCH but my opinion BNB have great future than those coins. And that moment not so far when BNB will be on of the top 3 altcoin in CMC.

If you are looking for quick profit, I don't think any altcoin is worth investing now on this year and getting quick profit from it.
This year, altcoins are not really making more sense and moving in the right directions. They tends to be risky, for me, I would still go for Bitcoin, though LTC seems good. You should consider checking on Stellar Lumens (XLM) too.

Don't rely on altcoin if you want to earn good on this current situation of market ,because bitcoin is the only one crypto on this kind of market that can give you good return despite of everything .which is because of being so volatile than other coins.. I think that he wants to make another profit, so he decides to convert his BTC to LTC. But that could work as we know that litecoin still not increase very high and even, right now, litecoin has decreased too deep. I think by converting his bitcoin to litecoin, he will have a chance to get profit from litecoin when the price increase someday. I think you should choose bitcoin. Bitcoin is primary cryptocurrency or called mother cryptocurrency. Usually Bitcoin up rapidly and altcoin dump, Bitcoin dump rapidly and altcoin dump too. Altcoin up if BTC in sideways.

Pick on BTC, ETH for mid and long term investment and maybe you can pick BNB for short and mid trading activity. I usually pick top coinmarketcap coins or maybe coins that still have affect on crypto community. BNB still really used to join Binance IEO and it will always have demand.

You seem to have gotten it wrong
What really happened was a so-called dusting attack, i.e. someone sending small amounts of lites (in this case it was 0.00000546 LTC) to some wallets (probably with a rich transactional history). The purpose of the attack is not to compromise the blockchain itself (like what the 51% attack is supposed to do) but rather track down certain users and their transactional activity on the blockchain. I don't know how it is meant to work in practice, so anyone more knowledgeable is welcome to chime in on this matter

Litecoin is good though for investment because it is still very cheap and still falls among the top coins in the industry, but for real use case, I dint see anything that Litecoin does that is not already built in bitcoin, majority of these other coins only have extract of bitcoin and then built on a portion of it, if I am holding bitcoin already, I would not really see any much reason to hold on too tight to coins like Litecoin except maybe for the purpose of diversification though. We cannot judge these projects alone by their current status, no one know their tomorrow, we just have to have little faith in them like investors of 2010 had little faith in bitcoin. So, my holding in Litecoin now is juts for future sake so that I don’t miss out in case, but bitcoin is the major coin that is very paramount to me.
Both! I`m in crypto for a long time, and I choose both! Why to choose between this two coins when both are very good, which one is better we all know, bitcoin of course, but litecoin is the second place, right behind bitcoin, for me that will be forever. I trade with bitcoin and litecoin, with bitcoin much more, with litecoin I choose mid term trading cause ltc is making swings but it takes time to drop and rise, at least I wait for it longer so I can have higher profit.
LTC is one of the rare coins that is worth investing, that is long present on the market and will remain there. Still I prefere Bitcoin because I think is more profitable, especialy on long term. Still if you want to diversify your investment LTC might be good choice.

Binance coin is hitting big in the market, I have seen it hit 5% when all the coins including Bitcoin going down 1 to 8% and it were for three straight days, I don't know why the title of your post is about Bitcoin or Litecoin when obviously Bitcoin has a huge gap over Litecoin.
Ok Litecoin just had halving but it will hardly have an impact on its price, maybe in the future, for short term go for Binance and Tron but Bitcoin and Ethereum always deliver whether short term or long term I'm pretty sure you already have this two.

Btc is on the moon .We are still watching bullish momentum on altcoins .It always better to invest on btc but you need to have proper entry .On the other hand i always suggest to buy any top altcoin and hold until the price you need to sell .So invest wisely .I thing BCH should be a good choice .

LTC and ETH are good now to trade base on my observation. They don't have big movement for the past few weeks or months so trading them for short-term is not a bad choice. And compared to the previous year prices they are very cheap now so having them for long-term is good.
Altcoins these days are nuke. they keeps going down without any sign of live. bitcoin remains the best bet for investment but it could be catastrophic when bitcoin dominates over 80% of the market. I don;t think it is a proper to see bitcoin dominate so high.

if in my opinion a coin that passes for investment is a BNB coin, a BNB coin is a very good coin and the level of movement is very extraordinary 
Just in case buy both of them is good because it's quite potential to get short term profit from them that bitcoin and LTC are possibly increase in the next several days or if you dare take BNB too as your portfolio that last time this coin being pumped more than 10% but this is only an advice from me and it can be missed depend on market of movement

If I were you, then I will try to trade LTC and ETH. Because those are very potential and anytime can run with BTC. I am not sure about BCH and SV, because anytime both can pump hard even 100% in a day and can start to dump hardly / can take more time to pump. I will not advise you to flip bitcoin to any coins now because it is few of them that can give you return than bitcoin in the short term. Before when bitcoin is pumping we do see other coins pumping too and vice-versa but now things have changed and we are having almost 90% of the funds that come outside cryptocurrency into Bitcoin. Bitcoin dominant against other coins has also increased and it is very clear that this dominant is going to last very long. If I will buy any coin now I will only buy mb8.

Bitcoin is good for either short or long term trade, because it is safer, however if you want short term trade alt coin is better, the movement is better for scalping and taking profit, ETH, Bach, ltc, trx are great choice for short term trade, but alt coin could be quite risky, so really pay attention to the chart and indicators before decide, enter at the wrong time could make your investment stuck or losing money

On what halving you think? LTC halving was few days ago and there is no change in price up or down. Altcoins are bad choice one way or another, they almost have no purpose except pump&dump which is mainly filling their owners' pockets.

LTC has got a great chance of getting pumped at least 2 times even when BTC is rising because LTC has its halving in place on the table. Bitcoin is bullish now and almost all the altcoins are dump including those that you mentioned above. Bitcoin has significantly recovered from it lose for the last two weeks and it is currently at $11,564 at coinsbase. I strongly recommend investing in coins like litecoin because of its up coming halving. Outside that it is advisable to keep only bitcoin for now.

Since your title specifically asks about BTC and LTC, and you ask about short-term trading my answer as many others is to invest in BTC. If you ask why, just watch the price of LTC this year, and that recent halving (LTC) that happens one day ago had almost no effect of this coin price. So short-term investing in altcoins is no longer something you should do for quick profits.
On the other hand, Bitcoin is in recent months show price range from $3000 to $14000, and for any trader who know basic in trading this was ( and still is) easy&quick money.

By doing a short term trader, I think you will find so many potential coins on the market, and you can choose one or more coins to trade. It doesn't stop for just btc, ltc, eth, but it's more than that, and you should search for yourself. It is hard to give a suggestion as we will see that the situation will always change and that will not base on one day only. That is why you should have skills to analyze movements from the coins so you can find the right coins to trade.

If you are short term trader and if you think you wanted to make the profit when ever the market rises and you do not have that much amount to invest into bitcoin, the coins i would opt for are ETH, BCH and BSV is not bad either because of the small valuation in the market and for the profits as these coins usually used to move higher when ever the price of bitcoin starts moving up, but if you are looking for the best investment no one can topple bitcoin.

I will go with Bitcoin because it had lots of expectation and also that's of trust in the future so I think no the currency had the ability to become like the Bitcoin in very short period of time that's why I think Bitcoin is most valuable for me.
if you want to take advantage of the moment of altcoin, you have to wait for the right time for altcoin to go to the moon, and the right time is when BTC is sideways.

both of them are good coins in my opinion but if you want to invest in the long term you can better choose bitcoin because the results have also proven promising, but if you want to trade in the long and short term litecoin that's the solution because these coins are very easy to increase good price

Bitcoin and LTC, both are still profitable for midterm / longterm trades. Im personally not really a fan of bch and bsv, so my suggestion is BTC, Litecoin is still more volatile than bitcoin so.... it could be good when the price increase but its bad when the price goes down. Just put a decent amount of money in btc, not all. Do some cost average when the price goes down again.

Keep an eye on Litecoin definitely as the next couple of days the price difference will either increase or decrease although I predict a decrease in price since the community have a habbit of selling the news while buy-in on the rumors. The decrease in price will present a buying opportunity in preparation for the next bitcoin run. Since only selective few coins usually profit from bitcoin price increase and Litecoin is one of those beneficiaries, the decline will be a great buyin opportunity. Also the halving event have have it's effect on price increasing (long term).
My opinion is that all the coins from the top rating are worthy of attention and investment in them. The profitability of each of them is difficult to predict, but if you invest in different coins with the best capitalization, then you will diversify the risks. If the market goes up, you will profit in any case, and if not, then no matter what you invest in, you will either not make a profit or lose money.
If you see from the current movement of bitcoin is indeed in a crawling up condition, if to invest in the short term it is better to just altcoin like Eth which is always potential compared to other altcoins, it seems already that if bitcoin is soaring, eth prices will also go up too, if in the long run then you switch to bitcoin
BTC or LTC? It's an easy decision, the OP should go with BTC, as for what alt coins, just look at the top 5 coins and I'm sure you will see which one. There's no better altcoins right now than ETH though, I'm sure if will many was written it off, because of the so called BNB competition. You just need a lot of patience, I think not going for short will be the best idea, in my opinion.
Buy both, but prioritize BTC over the rest of your alts. Let's say, 80% of your portfolio must be BTC, while the rest can be diversified to several alts, and a very small part of your money should go to very speculative new coins/tokens that have some potential. For example, alts like LTO, Elrond, Harmony and something similar are hyped a lot in a lot of channels so you should get some of them and plan your exit strategy carefully.

if you are a "short term trader" then big altcoins right now are not good options at all because they are not making any kind of move whatsoever and if they do, it will be in a downtrend not up.
what you should look into is smaller coins that the pumpers are pumping on a daily basis or stay away from the altcoin market altogether and stick to accumulating bitcoin while it is in accumulation phase with a stable price near $10k.
as examples: among medium size altcoins, ZEN and NRG with 50% pumps and among smaller coins: TRXC with 5000% pump, IPSX, XSD, XSD with 300% pumps in the past 24 hours.

It's obvious that bitcoin is still the key so I would say that either short or long term, it is still the best crypto to invest for. LTC though has its block halving next year, that's why it will also be a safe bet to accumulate prior to the halving and see how it goes. BCH or BSV? Unless you know how to ride the waves and take short term profit then you might want to give it a try.
For me, BTC is still quite potential if you buy it now and my target in September has been take profit. But because there is a good opportunity in this August, then I will try to buy both, of course halving ltc is enough to affect the price later.
And on the other hand I still hold BTC until next month maybe, I'm sure BTC will also increase again. I am still waiting to see if BTC will breakout or bounce back within the next week. Because the BTC is now in a resistant area.

I think in short-term we should hold Bitcoin because Bitcoin will "go to the moon" soon, at least in the end of 2019 and in August - the best time to buy and hold Bitcoin. In addition, as we know, LTC will be halvening on August 6, 2019 and as past halving times before, LTC increased sharply. I hope LTC will increase in the end of 2019 and I am holding LTC.

I prefer to choose short trade in eth, ltc, eos, xrp and also stellar. Most of them give me profit in short trade for 3 weeks, but it can be changed depend on market situation. Please remember, always do deep analysis before you open position
It's always sure to choose bitcoin over ltc, and holding it is worth as investment over long period of time since 2018. With ltc, I might use it as my potential passive income to be used as alternate investments aside from bitcoin, but only for small amount of asset.

I agree for bitcoin give profits for short term a lot of indication bitcoin will rise shortly in this year, but sorry my choice for long term hold is ethereum and ripple, Bcash is also habpve potential but isn't my major choice.
