The number of people participating in the Bitcoin ecosystem has definitely increased dramatically in the past few weeks.  My node used to see 25-60 connections; it has 120 now.  I had to double the bandwidth of the connection in order to accomodate the traffic.
Don't the number of connections depend on your bandwidth?

This is pretty effing historic, guys. Mark your calenders!!! March 28th 2013 - Total Bitcoin market capitalization value reaches 1bn $. Next stop: 1tr $. I say the Time Man of the Year should be Satoshi Nakamoto.

I smell a betsofbitcoin coming on ... which year will Satoshi Nakamoto be Time Magazine's Man of The Year?
Which year will he win the Nobel Peace Prize and the Nobel Prize of Economics? He should win all of the above if this Bitcoin thing really takes off (which it by no means has done yet).

Well on Bitcoin-Central BTC are selling now at €79.9 which makes them $102 each.

This feels to me like an unstoppable roller coaster - it'll either go stratospheric >$1000 real soon now or crash and burn - there's no middle way!
