There's two ways to recover it

1 Remember it back
2 Brute forcing

But with 20-30 characters, it can be really long! I know that there was a guy offering bruteforcing services for satoshis.

If you don't know a single part of the password, then 20-30 characters is impossible to bruteforce.

Do the math...

Technically, it is possible. The only thing that would prevent you from succesfully brute forcing it is the time it'll take.

no that is wrong. With unicode and other subsets like chinese characters, the bruteforcing would use more energy than there is in the universe to bruteforce a 30000^30 password

If you had at any time a backup of that wallet without a password, then it is likely still on the disk, even if it was deleted. There is some nice recovery software out there, you might look into that.

Thanks for you advice Smiley
I guess I'll just wait till the value of the wallet is worth investing many hours Cheesy

I would advise you to write down everything you remember about the passphrase so you can have better odds of cracking it when you will try in a few months or in a few years

Maybe it will be easier to crack it in a few years and it may be worth it if the price spikes up

Try DaveBitcoin, you never know, a lot of members have successfully recover their funds through him, I doubt he will only charge 0.05 though Wink

I know parts of the phrase but not all of them nor the order.

This might be enough for DaveBitcoin to help you. PM him, or go to his site and send him an email, worst he can say is no, right!

check this thread and send email or pm to OP hope they will help you in this case  https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/bitcoin-wallet-recovery-services-for-forgotten-wallet-password-240779

I feel bad about it but all i can say with no intentions to get you off trying for a solution is that there are very little possibilities of recovering it back  Embarrassed I hope you will be more careful and have learned a lesson from this !!  Smiley

It might not work, since his password was 21-30 characters and the site can help up to 15 characters.

I have a huge problem!
I encrypted my wallet several weeks ago (to be safe). I used a pretty long password (not sure about the exact length ~21-30 characters).
But the sheet of paper i wrote it down got thrown away.

I know parts of the phrase but not all of them nor the order.

I am looking for someone who could help me. I am willing to pay 0.05BTC.
Btw I have 0.7735BTC in my account Tongue
