Gotta use the lightning network to avoid those fees!

ln.pizza

I can't wait to try this one out... learned about it after I had already ordered from a restaurant that accepts bitcoin directly (using the lightning network!)

There's only one LN route I know of in my current country of residence for typical merch, but it's a provider active in another city (the original Bitcoin City or one of, anyway). Just checked yours and it's only for US dominos. Are these franchise pizzas really so popular in the US? I always assumed American people eat pizza from a local parlour =) Is it because of price? Wherever I've been, the cheaper options are always local brands.

Looks good!

Fees were a bit of a pain, but hey, Pizza Day don't wait for no mempool.
On "the original pizza day", fees were 0.99 BTC, so all things considered, it's not that bad Tongue

Just thought to update, LoyceV sent the pizzas over, almost to the dot (it arrived a minute early!). Sides of fries and chicken wings were also had, and there was no trace of anything left after an hour (3 hungry mouths did most of the work).

Thanks again LoyceV!

My 2020 offer is simple, and similar. First person who posts here, saying they want to and are able to:
1. Send me 3 pizzas tomorrow at around 4pm UTC (that's server time). I'll share an address; and
2. Pay in Bitcoin (I'll show you a provider that accepts);

will receive back from me the full amount paid + 0.005 BTC. (Your estimated costs will be around 0.0025 BTC, 0.003 BTC max)
I'm surprised there are no takers yet. I can do this Smiley

Me too! I thought I'd have to fend off armies of pizza-day revellers!

Done!

Locked, will update thread;)

So we all know what happened on 22nd May 10 years ago: someone paid for 2 pizzas with 10,000 BTC. He actually made good on his offer at least two more times, too!

So did this in 2018 and it was nice to get pizza from someone from this forum.

No escrow. This is a trust thing!

Just a couple of rules to "apply":
1. Reasonably active and constructive account only (that's at my discretion).
2. I can only take 1 offer.
3. You have a good suggestion for alternative? If it's for a good cause, I'll listen.
