I think a main problem with open table games is waiting for confirmations.

Can somebody tell me if it would be possible to combine the awesomeness of Bitcoin, poker, and Tribler all in one?

Imagine being able to download FOSS client similar to Tribler, sit down at a poker game of your choosing, and play with Bitcoin.

People often say that you'd need an escrow service to get things going. But I don't understand why. Couldn't the Tribler-like client allow for code and address that one could send payment to and that the winner of the hand receives the private key to receive the coins previously floating around unclaimed in the blockchain?

This would not only totally eliminate any third party rake, but would essentially create the world's first 100% positively honest poker game. No need to trust the house. Okay, sure, there could be collusion. But that's not what I mean by 100% honest. I'm more worried about being gamed by the dealer or somebody being able to see my cards.

Thoughts?
