you are worried for a 10% correction, when we went up like crazy for the past few days? you must be new on this market, this happen all the time

it's the normal behaviour of the p&d, i'm waiting the stagnation phase, on where you can say that the price is rock solid

this is the normal change that the price has always been going through. it just provides good opportunity for anybody who has missed out on buying bitcoin to purchase some before it is too late and we start entering the bubble.

It's called a shakeout, and it's so whales can get cheap coins

This is what i Beleive has happened,  anyone who is on the fence about selling will hopefully sell once they get a fright with a sudden drop.  The result is that the whales can buy cheaper coins and also prevents the weak hands from cashing out at a higher price which would then result in a smaller pump next time.

It is about Australian +25K BTC Auction, check this:
http://www.coindesk.com/19-million-bitcoin-australia-auction/

Yeah perhaps this is the reason for the drop in price of Bitcoin but I wonder if the auction owners held the Bitcoins in a private wallet or stored them on a Bitcoin exchange. Because if they had sold the coins to a private bidder off the exchanges the price shouldn't have been affected right? Or maybe just the media interest of the auction made the price go down? Anyone has any insight as to what's the major reason behind this thing happening?

Dropping the price serves a double purpose, too. B/c often times a flash crash is just what is needed to get the price higher

Just keep in mind that those very whales often have extra accounts to scare people with so that you'll sell. They are bulls who capitalize on your fear. And if they're really good, they can give seemingly legitimate reasons why the price will fall and why it will rise.

Dont panic its normal. That falls makes traders happy as they can buy again at a lower price. When they buy it will go up again so there is no need to panic.

I don't exactly know why but the price just went under $700 right now.

I'm not sure whether I should be alarmed or this is to be expected.

The price is decreasing because the raders are booking their profit. Due to the recent increase in price, many people sold a percentage of their holding. It is normal in any stock market. The price increase always triggers sale orders from traders.

But I don't see any reason to panic if you haven't bought bitcoin at $770 level. It will increase again. It is just making its ground stronger. If possible buy more at $680 - $700 level.

Yea it was at $680 when I checked earlier, now it's $714 on Coinbase. Maybe a small group of Chinese investors decided to sell off their stash or something. I don't think there is need to be alarmed by this, it is expected to some extent. I believe the upward trend will continue for a while yet.
