Definitely history is the biggest evidence what Bitcoins are capable of. I am assuming 2024 will be big for Bitcoins.

looking at the 2013 ATH ($1.2k) the 2016 halving year did not surpass $1.2k
the ATH was reached a year after the halving and got to $20k

looking at the 2017 ATH ($20k) the 2020 halving year did not surpass $20k
the ATH was reached a year after the halving and got to $70k

so with that "history repeating itself" speculation
2024 wont exceed $70k but will see a new ATH in 2025

Right on spot, I think we need to observe these small but important things because everyone including myself are very much eagerly waiting for bull run post halving but if we look at the history and how the Bitcoin has performed we may not see the new ATH in 2024 but atleast we can accumulate Bitcoin during this phase if we believe in "history repeating itself". Else, we need to be prepared for bull run or even a sideway market, in short let's be prepared for everything and think logically.

So you can all see how far the Bitcoin price has come and how volatile it can be. One thing is sure about Bitcoin, however dip it falls, it will still rise again. So it's okay to be scared when hodling Bitcoin, but always have faith that it will rise again.

Definitely history is the biggest evidence what Bitcoins are capable of. I am assuming 2024 will be big for Bitcoins. As we have seen Bitcoins always follow a 4 year cycle to break its ATH price and 2024 is the 4th year. So I am very much confident that Bitcoins will cross new heights this time. We just need to show faith in Bitcoins and need to accumulate as many Bitcoins as we can. If you want to make the most profit out of it, then we have to buy without thinking twice of the outcome.

Happy New Year to all Bitcointalk forum members.

In the mood of celebration, I thought we should celebrate how far Bitcoin has come.
A look at the price of Bitcoin by years since its inception would help us appreciate the incredible growth of Bitcoin.

2009:
The first users of this Bitcointalk forum traded over 5,000 bitcoins for $5.02. This makes the price to be 0.00099 per Bitcoin.

Bitcoin started the new year at $16,537. In the first month of that year, it got to over $20,000. In April it got to $30,231. On the 12th of December, it got to $43k+ the next day it went down again to $41k. Bitcoin ended the year 2023 on $42k+.

These data were gotten from and you can read the full details of Bitcoin prices in the year on.
