It might go that high but we can not assure that. We can't predict furture, can we? No one knew back then that the price would go that high. If someone wrong happens we might see the price fall down to $350 instead which is highly unlikely to happen though. Yes I do believe that nothing was going wrong and the prices were going very much high with creating a confidence to the users. Especially after the japans announcement of accepting the Bitcoin and then from nowhere somehow the prices dropped. I see that you guys are on the positive side and with hope in the huge future of the Crypto-currency. I, too, share your opinion, but there is certainly some kind of apprehension about the risks and other aspects of the activity in the field of crypto currency.
Who knows, We are talking about Bitcoin here the price speculation of 3,500$ this month might hit. One thing good about Bitcoin is it is very unstable you'll just wake up one day price is sky rocketing and sometimes you'll wake up its going down. But as a user of Bitcoin for many many years i believed in Bitcoin that the longer it survives the higher the price it can get.
I have no doubt it will reach above 3-4k$ because we have entered an era of widespread adoption with news coming out of bitcoins acceptance right around the world. If the ETF is also approved this year even 5k+ is possible.
Well etf will be a big factor for the value to keep rising up i like this speculation since we are almost in 2k$ already and we only in a first quarter so there's a lots of time and with many adoptions and new investors which gaining attention btc will increase to that stage. sr. member

I have no doubt it will reach above 3-4k$ because we have entered an era of widespread adoption with news coming out of bitcoins acceptance right around the world. If the ETF is also approved this year even 5k+ is possible.
in my point of view that the possibility price on this year approximately $2000 could be less or more and very hard to reach $3500 but i think sometimes in bitcoin world there is an situations that when it is impossible to became an possible so lets wait for next peak in this year

I'm sorry dude but I don't agree with you. To touch $3000 I think we need to solved the issue on the scaling problem. Transaction fees are going up to the roof as well making people to not choose bitcoin as mode of bitcoin. With that said, I highly doubt that $3000 this year is possible.

I think realistic speculation would be 2500$ rather than 3500$. Its only may right now and we still have 6+ months till end of this year so price can easily go way higher than $2000.

Yes, we can more than 2000$ in the year 2017, but 3500$ is the really very high amount it is not possible to predict easily. As the bitcoin community keeps increasing but the chances of increasing more than 3500$ in coming years it is possible may be.

It is not true yet since bitcoin have not hit that price but the possibility to reach $3500 is big due to the hype brought by Japan friendly gesture to bitcoin and large company that wants to participate in bitcoin economy. I don't see it going more than $2600 even if it goes higher, because it has already consolidated a lot and the reasons are currently not much strong for the price to reach at these given numbers, and the first and foremost thing that is needed is stability in price, because if dumps take place then again investors would get out and we will need to wait few more years before we see such spikes back.

We can speak all the day about how big bitcoin is and how the price will reach new all time highs in the next few weeks or, we can speak about the same thing while giving solid and valid arguments.
But speculating about the future is more important as it will be helping traders to have some over all idea. Our speculations may come into true when more traders agree. We do speculate based on some expectation (like SEC will approve ETF), when it will happen traders move forward to push the prices. Sadly vice versa also true.
It's hard to predict the future. But in my opinion, it is not impossible to hit that price in cryptocurrency. As I always say cryptocurrency or bitcoin is accelerating. It maybe rise, crash, rise, crash, rise, and chrash again. It depends. But who knows it come true. If its happen it will be great as well.

with bitcoin anything is possible, specially these days with all the good news about it. but i still think we are not completely ready for such a big rise. the orderbooks on exchanges are still not that filled, and there are a lot of panic sellers who are waiting for some imaginary targets to get out because they thing that target is the end. like what they thought about $1000 target.

In theory. If btc were to double the price, we would need a lot more people using it. Something like4x more people using it on a weekly basis. Fees are discouraging people from doing this. Volatility causes normal people to tune out also.

It's like saying 'price likely to hit $1,500 this year, back when the price is struggling to passed the $1,000 price or even $800 price but now look at the current price. The question is answerable by maybe yes, maybe no but the main point is, it has a chance.
For $3,500, it's not a matter if it's true or not since that's why it called speculation in the first place. If it will don't hit then it's fine as long as the price is sitting at our considered high price.

Bitcoin already doubled this year, before the half of the year, why not double at least once again?
In 2013 Bitcoin has between the first "small" rise to $200 and the second one up to $1000+ by the end of the year, maybe history will repeat itself, in a more sustainable way.

If we will base our speculation on the current movement of Bitcoin then Yes it is possible for Bitcoin to reach $3,500 and even higher. There might be some hurdles that Bitcoin needs to go through and thats negative news like an exchange site was hacked and funds disappear but news like Australia will start regulating Bitcoins by July 1 thats a positive news that will further strengthen the market price of Bitcoin.
We can say that the price of bitcoins would be more than before and it has a high chance that the price of bitcoins would be more than 3500$,well there are other problems that needs to be resolved and the mass acceptance is required in order for the price of bitcoins to go high of that extend.
