Well i understand you but there is an alternative for this.
If at reference is put the transaction id then the blockchain has it's own feature.
Here is an example:

I don't get here , what this have anything to do with Blockchain.info since people on Reference .. they put the Bitcointalk thread and not the transaction link on the Blockchain .

I see that often people put transaction id when dealing.
So since you have that information you can check how much in USD was that value.
I understand you that would be easy if it will be implemented directly but this is an alternative way to check the value in $ at the time when both paries have dealt.

I like this idea it gives a little more detail and insight rather than just having 1bitcoin. 1 bitcoin could of been a few cents when they took and maybe they didnt see it as a big problem and have since lost that amount

He means that after u set a feedback and then behind the btc volume it needed to say that date value, pretty smart if that will be added.

You have all the information necessary to find out the fiat price if you really wanted to.
People need to be aware of all sorts of things they should find out themselves before trading. I don't advocate babysitting features.

This is a bitcoin forum, mate. So,

1BTC = 1BTC  Cool

There are going to be arguments like:
Why in dollars? Why not Euro? Why not equivalent price in Gold? Why not an altcoin?

Edit: May be a profile feature that will allow users to select the currency they want.

I really expected an answer like this Grin and I agree on the part of 1BTC = 1BTC and that's why for example theymos never changed the donation amount to become Donator or VIP member on the forums but it's just to protect people from getting scammed .
and yes why not select the currency on the profile , most of people use Euro and Dollar anyway .
This seems like something simple a good programmer could come up with... Simply take all the BTC risked on someone's profile and switch the currency to USD at the time the trust was left.  That would be a cool think to have Smiley

This is a good idea, this concludes confusion and possibilty for an old user to scam because people think he has done $1000 on trades but it actually is $10 because the price of bitcoin was low at that time.

+1, I think you are 100% right about this.

What I'am suggesting here is to add "Bitcoin price at that time" Cell on the trust settings which make it looks like this on our profiles :

User | Date | Risked BTC amount | Bitcoin price at that time | Reference | Comments

I'am not sure how much the price was in 2010 but this is just an example , so let's assume that I'am a scammer :

Let's say the price was 1$ / BTC and I traded 20 BTC with a user in 2010 , this makes it a 20$ trade and that user is on DefaultTrust and he left positive trust on my account .
In 2015 (assuming price is 250$) I decided to make another trade of a value of 0.5 BTC with another member and this member like others will take a look on my trust profile and see the transaction that I made etc ...
Most of people would go first with this kind of people who have more then 20 BTC on their profiles (from high ranked and trusted memebrs)

So basically the user I trade with would think he is safe since I traded more then 20 BTC (20$) but he would assume it's 20 BTC (5000$) with the current rates if he ignore the date / didn't take attention / or simply d on't know much about BTC and that the price was so low before.

Sorry if I didn't express  my self good enough and if you didn't understand my english post so I try to explain more Grin let me know what you think of the idea most of all .
