He mentioned many reasons and made a very obvious prediction, even someone with a low IQ like mine can make a prediction like this

He should make a prediction that was some news, at least I've heard predictions of 7000 and 10000 for that year.

It is not far from $5k and we could well see bitcoin break that barrier when in a few days time Segwit is finally implemented.

However, i don't think that it's going to stay above the $5k level for that long. Even though bitcoin is indeed a great investment and in the long term there will only be more and more users, i don't think that this pump is sustainable in the short run.

My prediction would be that we'll see BTC at around $5k and then a drop to $3k or so.

Despite all the great progress coming with SegWit, never underestimate the dark side i.e. bad actors of this space.
There's still a hardfork planned and probably coming in November. The NYA guys already spreading FUD over the social media platforms.
So I'm not sure if we will see more new ATHs this year until this issue has been cleared.

Thats not a new prediction.already,we are $4066 today.On 21 august,segwit will get activated and miners would reject blocks whch does not recognise the change.High transaction fee problem would get resolved and there would be huge increase in demand for bitcoin,increasing its price.I think by october end,we could reach the price of $5000 without any difficulty.

this is what i was waiting for too,
but in my opinion we will see another 'Big Rise' instead 'Small Rise',
because this hardfork will be 'Huge' in my opinion,
it's understand able if we can see $5000 or $6000 in the next month,but if we really hit that level when that time comes we will see a huge blow.
and $3000 or around believeable in my opinion,or even worst than that.

just remember,you will only lose it if you sell it that cheap,

i am currently expecting another small rise in the following two months and then the market will probably turn into the same old FUD mode where prices get dumped and everyone is panicking one more time this year. and all because of that 2x part of SegWit2x.

but after the hard fork is dealt with, the price will rise up fast one more time. it would be exactly the same as this time after the 100% SegWit support happened. so i wouldn't be surprised if price went up to $6000 too.

This speculation is very realistic since the price is near it now and others predict even higher heights. Looking back, only a few expected and speculated that bitcoin was going to reach 4000$ price and right now it is sitting on the said price. For now I would expect the price will move the way that I can't imagine.

Then we are already there, it's too late for him to speculate that bitcoin will be having a safe haven at $5,000 because everyone seems to predict that we are getting there and there's no problem with bitcoins price now. We are already and near to $5,000 and possibly we will be getting a $10k safe haven next year.

It's not that far from 5k. Current price is at 4.1k it's not that long we'll see it at 5k maybe in 3-4months time. Hopefully we reach that.
