Do we need privately funded prisons for famous Bitcoin criminals?
Privately funded courts too?
Where could the courts be physically located?
No.
No.
No.

What is a bitcoin criminal? A thief is thief, and it makes no difference to steal a car, gold bars or bitcoins. There will be differences between countries though, as some places do not recognize bitcoins, or places where it's forbidden. In guess that in China, if someone steals 100 bitcoins, the victim can't even go the police to report the crime.

still bitcoin raises a question, should there be a special place for cyberthieves ?
Like in the matrix, where they would be wired in some giant human farm that makes them mine back the coin they stole using their body electricity /power, that would be something Roll Eyes

  China already have some of their prisonners farm gold in WoW so why not thinking of something like that.
Sure, they stole something, but it's not like they molested you, or hit you in the face with a knife to steal your phone.

 I believe those who were stolen don't give a flying * about thieves reeducation or punishment, they would want their money back.

Remember someone who wanted to make a Site with a Pot, that if a Bountyhunter (Killer) presents Proof he can claim the Pot.

Very illegal i guess.

For this we first need...

i. Bitcoin Island => https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/bitcoin-island-551676

ii. Bitcoin Cop => https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/bitcoin-cop-we-need-them-nsfw-433845

Otherwise, if u send Luke-Jr and Gavin to arrest some criminal ...that would be a massacre Cheesy

Screw prisions, I'd rather prefer a bunch of psychoanalyists and an education center.

For some reason I can imagine this being worse than a prison, imagines a scene with a bunch of psychiatrists asking them how do they feel and observing their reactions all day long lol but what does the education center teach no scamming 101 Smiley

I don't think a proper cryptogenic prison can exist with today's technology. Once we can upload human minds into machines and have the prisoners 'mine' our coins for us as hard labor will such an idea really reach it's full potential.

It would be interesting if such Bitcoin prisoner became so rich they could buy the private prison system and let themselves out.

Well, that is an interesting idea:
At least the shareholders would get paid....?

There are private prisons and there were already bribery problems. It is hard to tell if there is really any good solution for it.

There is nothing perfect even if you have a lot of money always something might go wrong.
Insn't?

A crime is a crime, no matter if it is bitcoin or litecoin or anything. So he should treat with the same cyber crime.

Gov prisons are expensive and ineffective.
Even "private" prisons funded by the Gov are pretty bad.

What makes famous Bitcoin criminals different from famous USD criminals?

I think it's not Bitcoin's business to decide what happens to them.
