try a newest version 3.1.3 - https://electrum.org
Try reading... he is using the Bitcoin Private fork of Electrum (aka "Electrum BTCP" from here: https://github.com/BTCPrivate/electrum-btcp/releases/)... NOT the standard Bitcoin version of Electrum. Upgrading to the latest version of Electrum is not going to help him.

The OP just needs to be patient and let "Electrum BTCP" fully sync the blockchain_headers... it takes a LONG time as the file is 10x larger than the same file created by "Electrum" for the BTC network. When it is syncing the headers, there is no real indication that the program is doing anything and it just looks like it is "offline".

In other news, I wish all the works would be like ElectronCash and come up with a completely different name... it would help to avoid confusion. Undecided

Please also note this message on the GitHub release page:
Have fun, be cautious, and be patient for the headers to sync! Enjoy!
There is a VERY good reason for this... the BTCP "blockchain_headers" file is currently somewhere in the vicinity of 428 MEGAbytes!!?! Shocked Shocked Shocked

I believe that Electrum-BTCP has the same "issue" that the original Electrum does... on first startup, the wallet doesn't look like it is doing anything while the "blockchain_headers" file is downloading. It will show as "Not Connected" and with the "red dot" while it waits for this file to update.

Electrum can take 5 to 10+ minutes to do this... and it's "blockchain_headers" is more like 40megs! Tongue So, as you can imagine, waiting for 428megs is going to take quite a lot longer! Tongue

My advice, start it up... and then check "C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Electrum-btcp" (or ~/.electrum-btcp/ on Linux+Mac) and see if the "blockchain_headers" file is increasing in size. If it is, just leave it running! It'll finish eventually and the wallet should show your balance and the green dot Wink

apparently the number of BTCP electrum servers is limited but there are more than one, but they are behind a "load balancer" which is basically a reverse proxy which is the bottleneck preventing you to connect so you will have to be patient before you connect to one. at least that's what they are saying on GitHub!

1.1.1 gives the same result. There is only electrum.btcprivate.org host In tools-network-server list. All OS defenders are disabled...

I read that many users have problems with Electrum BTC Private, and if there is only one server as you say then I am not surprised that there are problems with connecting. But you can check your antivirus/firewall,there is a possibility that your security software is blocking internet connection with Electrum BTC Private wallet-go to your AV/firewall program option and check is this program maybe blocked.

If you fail to solve the problem I suggest to use some of the social media form Bitcoin Private site (Reddit,Twitter,Telegram...) and contact their support.

Hi all! My Bitcoin Private Electrum P!1.0.0 wallet is not connected! It says “Not connected” in the bottom left of the app and the Network circle/icon in the bottom right of the screen is red! I`ve tried to upgrade. I have installing electrum 3.1.3 but it seems like another wallet with its own adress.
What should i do?

You should install latest version Bitcoin Private Electrum - 1.1.1 and see if that help you to sync your wallet.Electrum 3.1.3 is Bitcoin wallet, you do not need that for BTC Private coin.

When you install latest version of BTC Private wallet give wallet some time for sync,if problem is still there click on red dot and try to select server manually from the list. Also be careful from where you download any wallet, this is only official site of BitcoinPrivate
