how about using coinbase for newyork, they have a very secure platform and your money are protected, but i don't understand what you want, you say that you want to purchase $2000 of bitcoin, and then you add cash in hands? if you had that 2k you have already cash in hands, if you want to sell bitcoin for cash later, you need to load the money in a credit/debit card and withdrawal from a ATM

$2000 worth of bitcoin doesn't sound that big to cause any problem but i think you are trying to skip banking transaction. Purchasing bitcoin with hand cash is quite riskier but you can search for any local guy near you willing to sell bitcoin over localbitcoins or paxful and meet him face to face for deal.

This value seems to be big speculation amount for this but we need to check the complete bump of last year. Its all due to halving. So we cannot expect that much value first. Selling out bitcoin will be always do on when price is high. It means we can sell it now also.

low interest
Interest is what you pay in loans.  Are you intending to make a loan of US dollars, margin loan for Bitcoin, or what?
having cash in n hand?
I assume this means you want to pay in person.  I would say the best place to find people to exchange with in person is LocalBitcoins but if you do that make sure you exchange in a public place and do it with a trusted trader who already has positive feedback.

Well Localbitcoins would be your solution.... Person2Person trading. I have a few people I trade with at our local Bitcoin meetups too... but I make

sure I do this in a public setting, where there are CCTV and lots of people. A guy would be stupid to rob you, if you bring some friends with you,

and you do this in a public place. Go to McDonald's and do the trade inside.  Wink

I voted for "I would like 2000$ in bitcoins" in your poll, because I would like $2000 in bitcoins.

How can I make a transaction in New York to buy 2000$ worth of bitcoins

Here in the United States (such as in New York), we typically put the $ before of the amount, not after it.

So, I assume you are looking to buy $2000 worth of bitcoins?

to my wallet with low interest

Interest is something that you pay on borrowed money.  Are you planning on borrowing bitcoins, or do you want to buy them?  If you want to buy them then you won't have any interest to pay.

and having cash in n hand?

You can deposit that cash into a bank account and then transfer it to a business like Coinbase.com to buy bitcoins if you like.

If you prefer to exchange cash directly for bitcoins without using a bank account, then I would recommend using localbitcoins.com to find someone nearby that has bitcoins and wants cash.

I'd like to know the quickest and easiest way please and thank you!!

Fast, cheap, easy: generally in life and business you can have two of the three.  It is rare to find situations where all three are possible.

Responding to a listing on localbitcoins.com will probably be fast and easy, but it might not be cheap.
Coinbase will be cheap and easy, but it might not be fast.
I'm not currently aware of any methods that are cheap and fast, but difficult.

Yeah I mean with cash, it is quite a lot of bitcoins but I was just wondering the fastest easiest way to get the bitcoins without a super high interest charge.

Yeah you're going to have to be a bit more specific on that way you're going to be purchasing, it seems to me that you want to buy the bitcoin with cash as you say "with cash in hand" but I don't fully know.

That's also a hefty sum of bitcoin but if you're going to be buying with a payment method that doesn't allow any sort of chargeback you should be fine with Localbitcoins or Paxful, which are both great marketplaces to use. You could also look on the currency exchange part of this forum.
