Try running bitcoin-qt from the command line and see if it gives you more information.  I'm sorry I can't be of more help but I am unable to read Spanish. Embarrassed

Hope you eventually solve this, Wink

Hi.

I have the same problems as @oceanic.

After I  installed the latest version of Bitcoin-QT (bitcoin-0.8.5-win32-setup.exe), same insert appeared.

Trying to solve the problem, I made a system restore (Windows 7). Now 4 new inserts came up (consecutively), showing exception errors.

Best regards,

Hey guys,

I just installed tha latest version of Bitcoin-QT (bitcoin-0.8.5-win32-setup.exe) in a brand new installation of Windows 7 (64 bits - Spanish language installation), not connected to the internet. The installation process worked like a charm, but as soon as I execute it, it crashes and gives me the following error:

"Bitcoin-qt has stopped working"

When I click on "more details" the following is displayed:

What I've tried so far:
  • Uninstalled -> rebooted -> reinstalled
  • Uninstalled -> rebooted -> reinstalled running it as admin
  • Manually deleted Program files folder and appdata/roaming folder -> rebooted -> reinstalled
  • Tried using the zipped version (rather than the .exe I was using)
  • Prayed, and performed a Satoshi dance around a fire

Still having the same problem.

The error message shows almost immediately after I double click the .exe. It shows the Bitcoin splash screen for a second, but I never get to see the client.

Am I missing something? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Best regards! Smiley
