Yeah testnet is slow, did you try to add blockexplorer.com ? AFAIK theymos runs a test node via that URL.
Just useor resolve to ip by hand.

Today, ~8 hours ago I started (for the first time) bitcoin-qt with -testnet flag.
Everything was fine for the first ~4 hours but then it stopped downloading the blockchain. I mean it stopped at block #208705 and since then it downloads one block every 10 seconds. If this won't change, it will take a week to download it.
It is connected to 9 nodes.
Is there anything I can do about it?
