Ok, so I'm having a new problem now.

It ran fine for a few hours and redownloaded the blockchain.  Now when I try to run it, I get a C++ runtime error after a few seconds.

It says:

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information.

And here's the log:

Thanks, that worked!

After deleting the contents of the folder save wallet.dat, I ran it and it crashed once, then ran it again and it worked fine.  Thanks for the help!

1) Close bitcoin client (if it has been crashing you may wish to reboot or check task manager to ensure process isn't still running).
2) Open the Bitcoin data directory. https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Data_directory
3) Backup your wallet.dat if it has any value (of course you already have a backup right)
4) Delete* everything except the wallet.dat file
5) Start bitcoin client - it will download and re-index the blockchain (may take a couple hours)

* alternatively just move the files to another folder for temporary safe keeping

To be perfectly honest, I would have absolutely no idea how to go about doing that.  Suggestions?

Have you tried deleting the blockchain.  It is indicating problems in the blockchain index.

So I installed the newest version of the Bitcoin client and every time I try to run it, it crashes during the "Rescanning" phase of the startup process.  Any help with this?

Also, sorry if there's already a thread about this; I looked around for a bit and couldn't find anything.  Again, thanks for any help  Grin
