is https://coinmarketcap.com/ accurate for its rates for all the different coins?

what you need to know is that these sites (coinmarketcap, coindesk, etc) are all giving you an average price which means they take the price from multiple resources it can even be USD, JPY, CNY,... and convert it all to USD and give an average price.

also another important thing is their update rate. you should check to see how fast each of these update. for example coinmarketcap does it every 5 minutes.

And on top of this, some exchanges have higher rates, but are completely in Chinese, so good luck registering an account if you have to rely on Google translate Smiley

I had some Worldcoin left, but I'm getting 10-20% less than Coinmarketcap states it should be worth as the exchanges I can get (easy) access to don't have the high rates others have unfortunately.

You can rely on the rates/price shown in coinmarketcap but you shouldn't use it to accept payments. Either use bitpay like services that will automatically convert your crypto into USD or use individual trading platform's api to get price for coin which you are willing to accept in your store.

Not so accurate if we're talking about bitcoin price, because in every exchange has different trading volume which mean the price mostly different, it could be just a couple bucks or hundreds of dollars. I just visit this site to check average price of many coins as they've listed so many coins, and it's helpful to track some coins price and % change in the last 24 hours. But, it's better to check bitcoin-altcoins price in your local exchanges as you may purchase or sell cryptocurrencies through those exchanges.

Yes it is and I think it is the most accurate out of them all. Most investors and traders go to coinmarket.com to check the current trading volume of certain coins and you could check there also which coins are on the top.

that site provides the accurate rates based on exchange sites' latest price and they weight by their trading volume, they often skip the sites if they have no exchange fees.

I use only CoinMarketCap to follow currencies prices and it works very well. I think this site is the best one of its kind.

They add all Crypto-Currencies on their system and make it most accurate as possible in real time.

They price is up-to-date, they main price is calculated from the exchange price which listed on their site, you can see the different of each exchange, for example bitcoin market.

Pretty accurate I guess as they just show average calculation, but bitcoin price might be different in every exchanges, depends on trading volume.
Such as if you look at bitcoin price in coinbase, poloniex, bitfinex, it could be slightly different but if you check in OKCoin, Bithumb and Bitflyer maybe there is a gap within $50-$100 because these exchanges has higher bitcoin trading volume.

They take average price from different exchange platform for a coin so price can be different in individual trading platform. But you can rely on it to have overall idea about the price.

Each exchange has different rates. So there is no specific benchmark in determining bitcoin prices.
all depends on the exchange that we use, so we will get the rates according to where we save bitcoin.

Yup coinmarketcap is most preferred site to check the coins price and there are two three different explorer to see different behaviours of the coin.

You can also prefer: 1) Coindesk 2) Bitcoin.com for the best results in comparison.

It is accurate, and probably the most accurate because they are retrieving the data directly from the exchanges and do a simple math like (exchange_1 + exchange_2 etc. / n). An alternative is CryptoCompare and you can change the display to see the prices in ETH, USD, BTC etc.
