You may write on "power of decentralized process or currency" topic rather than writing only about specific bitcoin.

Hi Everyone!

Studying entrepreneurship, I currently have to choose a topic to write my master thesis in.

As I am spending most of my free time in the Bitcoin/cryptocurrency field, I would like to also find a related topic for my thesis.

While I am not a coder, I would like to rather focus on a different aspect than handling the in depth technology of Bitcoin.

I am thinking of a social/economical topic, such as for example:

"New frontiers of the Digital Economy: Market opportunities of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology"

However, I am still in brainstorming mode and appreciate any topic suggestions.

Looking forward to your thoughts - thanks a lot!

really good idea,i was think now,if i still have in college,i think i gonna pick that theme,i will suggest to my lecture "the cryptocurrency as future payment",but unfortunately i'm not in college anymore,i mean i've been graduate, and when i'm in college, dont know about bitcoin or cryptocurrency.

What about 'Digital currencies and how they improve the economic status of developing countries around the world'. I have read a couple of articles about Bitcoin getting a widespread adoption in emerging countries and find it pretty interesting.
You can write in many topics about bitcoin and bitcoin related things, but above is best suggestion I think. Write about it , it could be a very interesting and informative thesis.

It would be hard to get any reliable data or case studies from developing countries. Few related articles won't be enough.

@OP, perhaps you could find this one useful (bit different field though):

“Design and security analysis of Bitcoin infrastructure using application deployed on Google Apps Engine.” by fellow forum member ThePiachu (written in English with Polish translation):

I think that is a good suggestion.

Another one could be collaborative transaction possibilities as a result of the new SegWit implementation. I know that could be a bit techie, but you could keep it at the socio-economic level by discussing joint accounts, escrow, time locking, and trans-national partnerships, etc.

First of all I would like to point out that you focus on one of them only since you've mentioned BTCitcoin / cryptocurrencies / blockchain technology all together which it would rather complicate your thesis all throughout if you decide to go with all of them. Go with something that would show how limitations are lifted for users of BTCitcoin regardless of which country their in and how this could affect their lives in terms of bringing more opportunities for work and at the same time in low cost as a fee of transaction which could be the next thing that could be change in what $US dollar is doing now (most exchange currency among foreigners).

People he is studying "Entrepreneurship" so I would say, we should focus more on the application of the technology to improve entrepreneurship, and not the Physiological factors or Fiat / Bitcoin comparisons. You should rather take the economic challenges in this world, and figure out how Bitcoin could solve these problems.

Focus points:

= Micro payments
= Remittance
= Cheaper financial services
= Global trade initiatives. < Between 1st and 3rd world countries >

You can write Physiological factors that affect the usage of bitcoin. Not sure if it fits in your domain but you can explain it through a nice thesis how bitcoin is accepted as change to usual centralized currency ,how its affecting the lives of people and what exactly is the driving factors behind the sudden paradigm shift from human's perspective to get adapted to centralization.

Maybe you can write about the struggle between BitCoin and "real" currencies, and the various attempts by governments to weaken BitCoin.
