There should be possibilities for these, i recently cone across this data online which says: Nigeria the number one lead in countries interested about bitcoin from around the world https://twitter.com/BTC_for_Freedom/status/1690064269839040512?t=AJNBqLiNJJtvX9OZoZQHuA&s=19 i thought about it as well seing how cryptocurrency is fast increasing in the country with the people more interested in bitcoin, if the people can desire for it, they will definitely deserve having it even though it may take time and other procedures, bitcoin can be achieved and be thought in schools and also be accepted as a legal tender.

You sabi how cryptocurrencies, especially Bitcoin, don dey make waves globally?  Well, some universities for abroad don already tap into this trend and don start to offer courses wey relate to Bitcoin and blockchain technology.
Yes, those country who no wat is good for their citizens, dat is why u see country like Japan and El Salvador created higher institution for their citizens to learn more about crypto and BTC in their countries. I don't think say our country will gree allow BTC as a course in our university because dey will think dat decentralized currency want to make their fiat money useless in d country.

Bros, I guess say you don dey go far o. Bitcoin for school curriculum no fit dey possible due to our own ginger and make we no deceive ourselves because nothing we fit do about am. Na only those people wey dey ministry of education na him fit discuss this matter,no be person like me and you. Anybody wey need bitcoin knowledge go search for am. If na the blockchain technology,I believe say government fit give opportunity to those interested citizens wey one learn am but not in the university. Nigeria university lack practical due to lack of those practical facilities. If you think say e dey important then you fit start by teaching people wey dey for your area. No be compulsory say na for school we ho learn bitcoin

na true you talk bro, nothing go bring anything like Bitcoin for school make they studies am, because this our country self were never agree make we use Bitcoin, dey go agree first for our Naija, make we use Bitcoin before you talk about learning Bitcoin for university, i no many people never know things about Bitcoin for our Naija, dey just dey hear the name but some people don't have interest on it, if person on Lean Bitcoin no say thing you go school, many people dey were done know am very well, no be thing you go apply for school, before you lean am.i don't think so this our Naija go open course relate to crypto make we study for Naija. Where some of our university never dey standard.

Wetin Dem supposed add for the school curriculum and by extension try teach na Blockchain technology and not Bitcoin or cryptocurrencies. Dem need to focus on Blockchain. I feel say Blockchain technology nor dey get as much mentions and credit as e deserve. Bitcoin and cryptocurrency nor fit existence of Blockchain. Another angle to this one be say anything fit happen to Bitcoin today and e go stop to dey exist but you see the technology wey dey behind Blockchain, forget that one na of ever and ever. You fit use the tech still build other kind of things wey go make life easier. Shey you catch my drift?

When we suppose to the reason this kind matter of whether to put bitcoin for our university curriculum or not, na when we don see how many people don d into crypto d utilize am for their daily lives. Even our mama, papa and youths don sabi how bitcoin go fit change their financial situation and that of their families. Nobody d even reason how bitcoin take be ponzi scheme again, and its illegality for the country. Everyone just d invest with the amount they can afford to lose. But as bitcoin matter d currently, Nigerians still d get the double mindset towards the adoption of bitcoin due to how our government take project bitcoin give em citizens. Our government never come out open sae d support bitcoin but rather them they tell us to trade bitcoin with caution.

When we don get the mind of our government first and people utilize am for their daily as another means of payment, we go now begin reason how our educational system go fit include bitcoin for University curriculum(All these steps gonna take a very long time to get actualize even when bitcoin is made legal for our country).

Now, em supposed dey very far from our reasoning, until we settle the issue at hand make government grant the permission of using bank account to trade bitcoin openly as it were before.

There's nothing bad in introducing bitcoin education to the schools curriculum in the Nigerian universities, what we should first put into consideration is the fact that bitcoin needs to have a government approved legalization where everyone will be permitted to make use of bitcoin transaction without any fear of getting government actions against all any involvements, then also we have to get the same approvals from banks whereby they are allowed to have access to all bitcoin related transactions and activities for it customers, then we can talk about seing bitcoin education a point to seek approval on and be taught in institutions.
An enabling environment is the greatest limitations to Bitcoin studies and development in Nigeria and just like you and others including myself have stated in out comments,  for Bitcoin to become an acceptable course of study in the University of Polytechnic the central bank of Nigeria will have to change its stances and opinion about Bitcoin and the entire cryptocurrencies market in general,  and let say for sure there may be attempts to introduce this curses or even push for special training in that direction from individuals but the popularity of this still depends on governmental support for the studies.

These kinds of courses are very necessary because aside from studying Bitcoin or other coins in the universities,  blockchain is what is the most important as a course/faculty or special program since blockchain encompasses other actors that are far from only Bitcoin/crypto but it usage still cut across more sectors such as health,  agriculture and the financial sectors,  this is all the sector is that could use blockchain technologies.

You or we are not in the good position to inculcate bitcoin in our uncertainties. Op u know sae, our government e no like bitcoin so how you wan include bitcoin to the school curriculum. In the whole world, bitcoin has not been adopted as a course but it can only be study under either computer or economics and not on its own.
If government wan to add bitcoin to di curriculum, the first thing they have to do is to adopt bitcoin in the nation and include it in the curriculum and make it in general studies and also a course on it own.
OP you would have included the Universities that have taken bitcoin has a course in Europe so that we would have make the comments from that angle. Those universities should be mentioned.

So, the question be say wether make we push for the inclusion of Bitcoin courses for Nigerian universities?  I wan hear una thoughts, suggestions, and contributions on this matter!

E get the things wey people no fit do for government or not even as we dey here self. Government fit even dey look people wey dey here one kind eye if them know wetin dey sup, although na VPN go solve that one, una know wetin I mean.

Anyway, as I dey talk. No be we go do government work for them.   Na them know wetin them want put for the school curriculum and I no even sure say this kind old people wey dey government now go even want to put Blockchain technology for the curriculum make e remain bitcoin matter. With Blockchain technology self, you fit use am stop rigging of election and we know say some people political carrier go dey because without rigging some politicians go pack up.

Na countries wey don adopt bitcoin as legal tender suppose don start am like El Salvador and I'm not sure that bitcoin inside school curriculum don begin there.

Of a truth, Nigerian educational curriculum is not suitable for this digital century... so many concepts and approaches still retained are obsolete and unproductive. This is the reason many Nigerian graduates are confused. The Nigerian education truly stress the students to the extent of living them to resort to self help. Consequently,  the effort that Nigerian students put is unparalleled in the world... that is why you see Nigerians topping the class abroad when they go for post graduate degree.

As an Engineering student, I remembered learning FORTRAN 77 in the university when there was already MatLab and Excel, QBasic when we have C++, Visual Studios and other better softwares. They have refused to update the curriculum to reflect the reality of our time.

If Nigerian educational system can incorporate Blockchain technology, and other specialised innovations, you will see people creating businesses and companies even before graduation. This will reduce the burden on government. Financial literacy will improve and this have direct impact on our economy. Unfortunately,  the ruling elites are not thinking in this direction.

I just pray we wake up soon.

Nigeria academic curriculum is not rap for such advance studies yet because even the ovofo oyibo that you said already offered this courses,  they are still limited to only blockchain alone since blockchain also encompass a lot of other aspects aside from cryptography.

Nigeria environment enables to accommodate such advanced technology as teaching since the materials for such educational pursuit won't be available in most Nigeria schools,  and also to think that Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are not legal in Nigeria also paused a big limitation to such development.

So my brother,  your best bet is to just stop thinking it and do your best by educating yourself in whatever ways you feels in relation to Bitcoin,  blockchain and cryptography as a field since you have access to the materials online such as bitcointalk serving as a library for such studies.

If you tell me say, some schools for the obodo abroad don adopt blockchain technology put for there curriculum as blockchain no dey subjected to cryptocurrency alone, that one I go agree with you but to say, them dey teach am as a course, e go be say na watin I never really check on or put eye to see but, be rest assured say if you put references or source way I fit verify this thing, I go look am up.

I no know how you imagine am but, e go dey very hard as e be now say any school within we naija or around the world cef go wan put bitcoin directly for there curriculum. That na because, government no really support am as e be and how you wan carry watin government no back go dey teach for there schools, dey teach them supposedly leaders of tomorrow… na wahala be that o.

On the inclusion matter way you dey yan, how that one wan for happen.
