Nowadays its normal. It takes a lot of time to receive the amount. Last week when I transferred some amount to faucethub, it took nearly 12 hours to get it confirmed. When I asked other members of the faucethub, they also said the same thing. Now only lightning network can make bitcoin transactions faster. Lets wait for it.

BTC right now really is not an efficient way to send a small amount. The fee even will cost you much, as well the speed is slow.

Unfortunately due to the skyrocketing popularity of Bitcoin (and other reasons I won't get into here) the TX fees for Bitcoin are very high. I'm surprised you would try to move something as small as $10 worth. You did do the right thing by picking Segwit.

You can check a site like the one below to calculate the fees you'll need to set manually for faster TX.

Hi,

I sent a small amount of bitcoin about $10.00 worth last night around 11:20pm to my Ledger Nano S and I received it around 6:28am. So that's about 7 hours for the transaction to complete. I was just wondering if this is normal or am I doing something wrong? I selected Bitcoin Segwit instead of Legacy on my Ledger when I transferred not sure if this matter or which one is faster.
