All For Bitcoin!
404 pages will provide information about the importance - and the measurement site (search engine results pages) Effect July for several days, but will not affect the status indicator. Google is trying to bring a new connection is displayed. I have, I'm sure you do not need to change the thinking SERPs're - the facilities (only slightly different see page 404). Maybe, but for me personally, I will continue bitcointalk.org sickle, but the cookies look and more. Google search results, SEO and other behaviors, "caffeine" NAME opinion and "Hummingbird" hammer 1,2,3 404 cuts U.S. space policy in the Google - looking for some information. Others believe that, but do not care about the recovery of a powerful forum bitcointalk.org SERP.

the sun is shining, but the ice is still slippery
Google still has 1.39 million results from bitcointalk.org - https://www.google.com/search?q=site:bitcointalk.org

Because of Bitcointalk.org's request timeouts, Google probably applied a significant enough penalty for it to pushed into a supplementary index (which generally does not show up) for the next couple of days.

This.
An entire website, throwing 404's, site-wide and spanning a few days would significantly influence a sites rankings in the SERP's (Search Engine Result Page) but would not affect its index status. Google strives to retrieve & display fresh links.  I confidently speculate that because the entire website was down (versus just a few pages throwing 404's) you saw a difference in the SERPS. Although for me personally, bitcointalk.org continued to display in my SERP's but this could be because I use cookies & remain logged in while I search. Google displays results dependent upon my search behaviors prior to the downtime. Another little piece of information, SEO's speculate that Google Algo update titled "Caffiene" and also the more recent one "Hummingbird" plays a huge role in pruning sites from page 1,2,3 SERP's that throw 404's sitewide. Rest assure though that a robust forum site such as bitcointalk.org will have no trouble regaining its rankings in the SERP's.

if a site is down for more than 3 days google will most likely notice it and punish accordingly. however, after the next crawl, bitcointalk will be back up.

Another reason to spend some of the FORUM's money to get a read-only backup online.

I've noticed lots of bitcointalk results have disappeared from Google from when the site was down. Hopefully they will be back soon.

You are right. Bitcointalk.org doesn't even come up when you search for Bitcointalk.org.

We are on an island now. No new users will find this place.  Sad
