Hi folks, I'm Ben, production assistant on the doco.
It looks like there's a bit of debate going on about the price of the film and the style of the film. I'll try my best to answer your questions.
When we started this project 2 years ago we ran the initial funding through Kickstarter. We raised 20K and grew our support from the strength of the campaign's success. The rest of the funding came from the Director, Torsten Hoffmann, personally investing a far more than the crowdfunding provided. We understand that for some people, myself included (being a student), $6 can be costly. If this is the case, perhaps after 'acquiring' the film and watching it, based on your enjoyment, you could give us a BTC donation.
We tried to make this as affordable as possible. At the same time we do wish to make a return on the investment. 2 years spent producing a bitcoin doco is certainly enjoyable work, but it's also nice to get paid for it!
Now on the style and quality of the film. From the outset we knew we wanted to make a film for the uninitiated, the newbies, those without a firm grasp on money as it is often misunderstood (money is the root of all evil, money corrupts etc etc). We DID NOT want to make a bitcoin doco for the bitcoiners. If you have been following bitcoin for some time and are familiar with it there's likely nothing in this film about bitcoin that you'll learn. However, there are definitely lessons on money, banks, the Fed and other institutions and technologies that may surprise you. The film attempts to show why bitcoin matters in a historical, economic and political context. We could have approached it from a different angle, showing the potential of blockchain based tech and how it can transform the way we exchange, contract, vote etc. But this would tell the uninitiated little about why bitcoin matters to so many people (the unbanked/underbanked) and what the government (and banks) have done to our money. We think this perspective on bitcoin is due some attention.
Hopefully you all enjoy the film and can participate in wider bitcoin discussion with friends, family and colleagues. Please share the film!
Cheers
Ben

Tell your boss, he should have used the available channel like youtube to make the return. In addition, audience can always donate if they like the film.
