Total market cap by then in theory would be: (21x10^6)(10x10^6) = 2.1x10^14 which is unrealistic. Besides at that price point, no one would be stupid enough to buy.

It would be much more realistic if it could reach 20k$ in 5 years; it could even be considered as healthy growth.

Too high to achieve bitcoin to $ 10 million, even in the next 10 years I think bitcoin is still far from achieving that, although going up will definitely be the highest around $ 100 thousand, therefore I don't want to make new regrets like last year
10 million dollars is impossible, 100k dollars is also impossible, all conditions in the market are not allowing Bitcoin to reach such prices, such a price will ruin the market, it can even create chaos when people will constantly sell their bitcoin, the situation here is that only sellers exist on the market, without buyers, no investor or trader has the courage to buy bitcoin at a very high price, the risk is huge. Therefore, we should think about prices that are more reasonable when predicting the price of bitcoin in the future, don't be too dreamy and delusional, everything just makes us waste time waiting

Well nothing is impossible the time will say if bitcoin will reach that price maybe not now but we don't need to be so negative so even some people think that video is exaggerated there's a possible that bitcoin will be in that kind of price in the future.

It is not impossible for BTC to have 10 million USD value due to its total supply.
Though this required a mass adoption which every single in the world will use bitcoin on they daily life.
But, even everyone uses BTC it will take a long time for the price to reach that huge.

Maybe it will happen that bitcoin will touch 10 million dollars, we can see the increase in BTC prices in 2017 yesterday, that possibility will happen, and many predict that in 2021 it will happen, so we'll see in is it true that predictions will occur ..

That's just a speculation and there is a small possibbility to see a price which is $10 million. I also need to add that a crisis may help bitcoin price to rise at a level, but nothing can stand to a global crisis which effects everybody and it includes bitcoin price.

Every bitcoin website is filled with this question. Everyone seems to be so anxious to know what the future holds for bitcoin! People are writing articles about bitcoin volatility. Some are critics who say that it's totally a waste of time and money because, in the past few months, Bitcoin has reached closer to the bottom rather than going up a little and well, yes, they have a valid point.

But there are people who still believe that it's just a temporary fluctuation and bitcoin will return with a new life. According to them, bitcoin price will hit $10,000 or even more in the year 2019. No one knows what will happen exactly in 2019 but a little wait won't harm you if you are really interested to invest in here.

Don’t think so because if bitcoin becomes more expensive, who will buy it considering there’s a crisis so i think its useless and because of the need in money, people will sold it at a lower price. This is a too much speculation and a sure way of promoting something bad for the market
With that huge value no one will buy it and surely it will be lots of hacking activities that will happen,we can't blame someone to speculate like this but we need to also consider real thing with expecting too much, but nothing is impossible who knows what will happen after some years.

Bitcoin price will definitely increase but not soon and it might take several years until it reaches to a considerable price in value because the previous price drop was much higher than anyone expected and also due to panic sellers the result got much worse so bitcoin can reach up to $10 million someday and anyone cannot deny that with proper evidence but even an economical crisis happen for bitcoin to reach that amount of price is much difficult but possible so with time everything will be decided

A 10 million Bitcoin are possible, but what value would the dollar have then.
The time traveling crypto did a prediction like that  in 2013
He hit the 2015 and 2017 price really good.
If that world sceneries, he predicted, turn out to be true, then a 10 millions dollars Bitcoin would be possible one day.

https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/1lfobc/i_am_a_timetraveler_from_the_future_here_to_beg/

"On average, every year so far, the value of Bitcoin has increased by about a factor ten. From 0.1 dollar in 2010, to 1 dollar in 2011, to 10 dollar in 2012, to 100 dollar in 2013. From now on, there's a slight slowdown, as the value increased by a factor ten every two years, to 1,000 dollar in 2015, to 10,000 in 2017, 100,000 in 2019, and 1,000,000 in 2021. From here onwards, there's no good way of expressing its value in dollars, as the dollar is no longer used, nor is any central bank issued currency for that matter. There are two main forms of wealth in today's world. Land and cryptocurrency."

When we expect Bitcoin to grow up to $ 10 million, do we have to rely on certain explanations? Why do you think the BTC will reach $ 10 million? It seems to me exaggerated. I trust in the whole crypto market that it will reach a new maximum price, but I did not think that BTC can reach such a big price. In the event of an economic crisis that will soon occur, people will not bother to invest in Bitcoin. They will choose safer investments, such as those in gold.

Maybe it can reach $10million is the US dollar suffers from hyperinflation like Zimbabwe.  It wasn't uncommon to be a trillionaire in Zimbabwe dollars.  If you are talking in today's value equivalent of 10 million I just don't see it happening.  My most optimistic prediction over the next 5 years is 100k and I consider that to be very high.
Agreed, if there's such a big inflation with USD same as that of the one happened in Zimbabwe the price might peak that high. Even by that instance it won't reach $10 million. As we've reached around $20k, $100k seems to be realistic when there is a massive usage compared to the present usage. Right now the entire cryptocurrency usage won't contribute even 3% of the entire economic circulation.

If the price hits 10 million, the max supply would be roughly equal to all the fiat currently in the world.

Anyway, it's just basically speculation. We don't know if it will ever be realized.
Everyone can make their predictions, but in the end, no one really holds the future.
Yes any predictions can possibly become realized but no one can exactly know about the future of bitcoin in the market on which it is better to do our own research about bitcoin so that whatever the price it is we are still believe in bitcoin because we know that bitcoin have a big possibility to become adopted in our community in the near future that would give us a huge profit by just holding it.

if it is possible to be $ 10 thousand, but if it becomes impossible for $ 10 million, you know for now there are too many negative predictions, even yesterday BCG digital ventures founder Jeff Schumacher said this year the bitcoin would touch the lowest price could even be zero (quote from CNBC), so are you still optimistic that this will happen?

Do not believe on CNBC or such news sources. They are mostly use to create fud and due to these fud bitcoin prices moves up and down.

For Bitcoin to be able to reach 10$ million dollar is very much possible. We already know that forex and stock markets are multi million dollar market and those markets were not built in a day. Similarly bitcoin market will be as big as those but just need some time.

A big event like world crisis will lead bitcoin to make its demand higher. Everyone will look for a way to save the value of their assets and cash. While cash drops, big financial institutions will start to recognize on how it will save their financial standing.

I find it too high but we've seen the impossible and ot happenes before.

Too impossible for bitcoin to reach that $10 Million, it really takes a long long time or maybe it cannot be reached at all, $1 million is already a hard time for bitcoin to achieve what more is $10 million. It is more possible to earn million if you have a good strategy through trading or investing but not by holding your bitcoin in a long term.

The global economic crisis will not merely be making changes to the conditions for bitcoin because crypto is not only influenced by the world economy but other factors such as buying demand and selling demand will greatly affect price movements. Maybe only a few people will go to bitcoin to secure their property when the global economic crisis occurs.

A global economic crisis will not necessarily guarantee a situation where millions of people will flock to Bitcoin as a safe haven. Yes, people will try to hedge the possible loss in wealth, with things like Bitcoin, but the de facto method to do that has always been precious metals like Gold and Silver.

People go into survival mode in times like this. , so they buy physical items with value that can be traded, when Banks close their doors and when the access to the financial system is blocked.  Roll Eyes

Each such analyst puts forward his version of the price of bitcoin, and everyone looks at him with open mouths and wonder!
This is complete nonsense, why did you take that in the falling stock market, the troubles will pour into the crypto-currency market?? Do you seriously think that losing money on shares investors will begin to shift them to a more volatile cryptocurrency market? It's a fantasy and nothing more.

On the contrary, I am sure that if the us stock exchanges go down then bitcoin is also waiting for an even deeper decline because everyone will start to go to Fiat and wait out the storm!

The analysis in OP video may not be the best example but you are completely crazy to believe people in the US, Europe and UK aren't going to look for a place to store money elsewhere very soon.

Every currency is inflated to the point of $317 Trillion in Global Debt

1 Trillion is a LOT, we didn't even have the word years ago, now it's common because of inflation and debt.

The US stock market went up 10 years. The housing market is supposed to "cool" and the job market their is declining.

This is while Europe is still a mess, during Brexit and China's economy has slowed down. Then we look at South America right now and see the chaos could lead to similar currencies as Africa currently has. While the Western countries are in a huge bubble.

https://medium.com/@lucidfunds/the-long-and-winding-road-to-10-million-bitcoin-4b1c83d26e5d

This guy is not a quack...he's managed billion dollar funds for decades.

Quote
According to The Institute of International Finance (IIF), the total world debt is roughly estimated to be $247 trillion. By the 2018 year end, the total world wealth was estimated to be $317 trillion. But most significantly, total world debt increased 394% over the past 20 years, from $50 trillion to $247 trillion, while total world wealth increased 133% over the same period.

Bitcoin is just a new tool in peoples toolbox, what people move their money to is anyone's guess. It isn't going into stocks or housing over the next few years with all the shaky currencies world wide.

There is no way bitcoin could hit a $10000000 mark even there is a economic crisi. There is no way people will just move from fiat to cryptocurrency, because there is crisis and so the decision on that time would just be fatal for them and the government will lend a hand of crypto-industry if that happens most probably the decentralized will be centralized.

That's an exaggeration. Let's be realistic here, even if there's another global crisis, I believed that most investors will still go for gold and not to crypto simply because of the huge risk and price volatility.

But I believed that we're almost on the brink of another economic collapse, the trade wars against China, Venezuelan crisis, you can also notice the US stocks being affected as well. All tell tale signs are here, so for us crypto enthusiast, we need to get ahead and hedge, but it doesn't mean that bitcoin price would literally go off the off.

I will make sure to wait that number to show up in the future, and I am starting to collect more bitcoin from now one, so I don't miss the chance. But it needs a long time before the price can increase until that price and I don't know how long bitcoin can reach it because right now, we are still in the $3k level price. But there are no impossible for bitcoin to reach that price and bitcoin have a chance to reach it in the future. The bitcoin price can increase higher if there is chaos in many countries and people are tired with their government, and they want to find something new for their financial and in this moment, they will take a look with bitcoin. And if they find that using bitcoin is a new solution, then they will use bitcoin, and it will make a big demand for bitcoin, and it will push the price to increase.

To those who said its impossible  , well you are totally wrong because bitcoin actually have the potential to reach the said amount .  just wait for it to become recognized by many citezens and netizens then youl see that the value can slowly recover in an upward manner day by day until it gets to the point of no return  .  sooner or later the value can reach to millions and eventually it can climb up to 10 million for more few days .

Bitcoin price prediction reach 10,000$ by the year 2022 and meaning bitcoin stay remain in low value until 2022??? But do not really believe that prediction.
10 million dollar price value of bitcoin iis too very unbelievable, do not predict to much just predict the truth of reality bitcoin is volatile nibody can tell when and what price they can reach in the future.

These guys say that if there's another global economic crisis like there was in 2008 that the price of Bitcoin can go through the roof:

I'm quite confident that in the mid-term future bitcoin will reach new all-time high, but however it's impossible to reach such high prices in my opinion, because the total market cap of bitcoin would be too high to be sustainable.

extraordinary. when we see BTC inventories still being sought by high public demand, then BTC has great potential to reach $ 10 million. but we must be patient, because it takes a long time. in 2018. BTC can reach 20K in 2 months. this is a good prospect for BTC.

I think so too. Do not forget about 2017. 2017 Golden Age for Bitcoin. Though bitcoin status is currently very deplorable but I believe that very soon it will change. All Bitcoin holders are waiting for the increase in the price of Bitcoin For a long time. It is difficult to say exactly when the price of bitcoin will increase. We should not be disappointed in any way. Always have to put our trust in Allah and always must be in the positive mind. There is nothing to be disappointed after the dark the light comes. So I think Bitcoin to $10 million can be more in 2019. We have to wait and see what is in front of it.

The year 2017 was a year that showed us the price that is paid for believing in the predictions of these guys who want to win bitcoin's fame. look at the number, look at the current situation of bitcoin, easily someone noticed that this guy is talking absurd. We should not be too optimistic about the future.

Bitcoin price would definitely hit a new time high.

As I said: We should not be too optimistic about the future.

Bitcoin can also die or continue.

truth

I am also more inclined to the option that if there is a crisis, people will start to invest their money in bitcoin...

people will invest in gold

Well, me personally I also believe that the last kick of bitcoin in 2017 will happen again, I just don't know when. Don't judge me, that is only my personal opinion. Everyone hodling has this kind of hope you know.  Wink

It would be nice if bitcoin could still reach such a price, but at the same time I understand that it is impossible now. I am also more inclined to the option that if there is a crisis, people will start to invest their money in bitcoin and, accordingly, its price will grow.

I have not taken a math class for many years. I can barely add simple stuff without a calculator. BUT. I am sure bitcoin will never go up to $10,000,000.  What you guys are saying is making no sense!!

In order to go up to $10M per bitcoin, the entire world economy (all currencies) would have to be inflationary together. Even if it did go up to $10Million, the vast majority of people would get hacked because the technology is still so hack-able and confusing.

Bitcoin is for the most elite hackers who know their stuff, not ordinary Joe's!

The bitcoin legend Hal Finney, said when Bitcoin was just a week old that Bitcoin cut go to $10 million one day. But to get there Bitcoin needed to become successful and be the dominant payment system in  the world.
We are very far away from that scenario, but we cut end there one day.

You can see Hal Finney predictions here.

In today's market, with the current dismal state of financial affairs, like the U.S government shutdown, the sky is the limit for crypto currency. At the same time, don't be fooled by any speculation you may see or hear, as Edgar Allan Poe said it best, "Believe half of what you see and nothing of what you hear". Just take a look at the current bear market, it must be down for some reason, no?
The only reason why Bitcoin went as high as it did, was because the influx of money pouring into the market, plus major manipulation from the whalers. The bubble burst because it was artificially inflated, not being a true reflection of what it actually represented. Many jumped on the hype train, thinking it would moon, and ended up losing a lot.

No, ten millions is a ridiculous amount for one bitcoin. I cannot see how we could reach this number or the one million someone has made prediction of. Lets think that people like to sell their bitcoins when prices rise. They do not hodl forever.

It pointless to say bitcoin will rise to 10 millions now and reason being world economy meltdown the Truth of the matter is that if their is any economic crisis the people will be more scared of bitcoin due to it volatility and at that may decide to choose a more stable commodity such as gold instead of bitcoin.

This topic has always fascinated me. Based on my 30-minute research and reading a few months ago, basically the opinions on this matter is mostly these two. That if a global economic crisis would occur, people would:

1. People would flow into bitcoin, as a hedge to their local fiat money dropping in value.
2. People would definitely wouldn't touch bitcoin, as it would be pointless to move their funds to a more volatile asset that could potentially crash down more.

I'm personally leaning slightly a bit more on the first one though. Simply because Venezuela(a country that faced hyperinflation), pretty much adopted bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. Now, would the world do the same as the Venezuelans did if ever a global economic crisis occurs? I don't know.

That was an exception because there were many factors at play there. Cheap electricity made people aware of mining as an option to make money and they were happy to learn. There were many information technology enthusiasts, so we can say the technology fell on good soil there. Also, Maduro managed to promote cryptocurrencies by pushing his own shitcoin and at the same time by going after Bitcoin miners. It woke up that rebel spirit in the people and make them realize that other cryptos might actually be better than Petro. The real king doesn't have to remind people that he's the ruler.

I think a crisis would at first decrease the value of everything because people would be running away from all markets. Bitcoin is still pegged to the dollar and other fiat currencies because there's not many things you can buy directly. When you are using an exchange you are first moving value to fiat and to the bank, but keeping money in the bank is the last thing you want to be doing at that situation.

If Bitcoin reaches $10 mil ,that would mean a market cap $175 trillion dollars. To put that in perspective, all the physical money in the world including any money held in easily accessible accounts, is about $90.4 trillion. So you can see how ridiculous that is when you look at the numbers.
If you believe that Bitcoin will ever reach that price, then you must be the most optimistic person in the world, or just naive.

If bitcoin goes to $10M then satoshi's fortune would be:

Code:
1000000*10000000

$10,000,000,000,000 Dollars, that's $10 Trillion Dollars (If I'm not wrong). And he would be in top 1 of the richest people in the world by far and he could pay hald of the USA debt with that.  Grin

Crisis are always coming , as there are always economic cycles. Bitcoin was created just after the last one.

The next economic crisis will be bitcoin's first.  It will probably react in a positive way, as it was created as an alternative to that cycles .

Ofc not 10million, but we can dream of 20k again in a more susteinable situation.

Grin In as much as i would really love to see a price like that i think it is too exaggerative. Bitcoin price would definitely hit a new time high but as for reaching $10 Million i doubt but to be honest if it really gets to that price that would be awesome.

The people with the 2nd opinion are leaning more on that people would move their funds into precious metals like gold(obviously). While this is definitely a possibility as gold is actually decently stable in price, I really don't think gold is THAT accessible to everyone, as we're talking about a global economic crisis here.

No comment on the $10 million bitcoin price though. There are just too many factors to take into account to be able to have a rough price estimate.
