That's BS, can you tell what service/business is this? Looks like you need to make a scam accusation against them and provide proofs. Services who confiscated funds just because it was flagged by their system without fully using the service should not be tolerated, they could at least refund your money.

I also thought it was the gift card provider at first, but apparently, he's referring to Amazon. They locked his account after redeeming multiple gift cards.

I believe I had a debit card linked, and a us address on my account. However, it was a fresh account so my transactions got flagged and my account got locked. I contacted support a few times and they were asking for more verification, but they kept saying they can't restore my account so I gave up on trying to recover it.

have you ever tried: https://purse.io/shop ?

it's an historical website that allow to buy goods from amazon with bitcoin (plus you can have a decent discount for each purchase...)

take a look maybe is suitable for your needs https://purse.io/how-it-works
Purse.io have limited its services. If I'm not wrong, this service is available to limited countries. Check whether this is available in your country. If not you need to find a person who can buy it for you and send it to you.

You don't need to have an adress in The USA. To give you an example: I live in France and there is amazon.fr.
Yet I sometimes buy on amazon.de and use my french adress...

It makes sense since you are within the European Union, however, I ask because when someone buys gift cards on websites like Bitrefill, a warning appears to whoever plans to buy cards for Amazon USA. Such warning is about the restrictions I mentioned.

That is something that has stopped me from buying them in the past.

Hello, I was wondering if anyone knows a way where I can purchase items off of amazon without kyc by sending someone the amount of crypto that a product costs, and then having them purchase the product and send it to my address. Can anyone here recommend me a service that can do this, or someone trusted that offers this kind of service without any form of kyc involved?

Yes of course, there is a service where you can also send bitcoins via LN and you receive a code that you can insert into your amzon account as a gift card.  Not just Amazon but hundreds of cards.  It's called https://bitrefill.com

Bingo. Here was your mistake. Adding 4,000$ to a brand new acount on  Amazon. It's a well know flag to see Amazon locking your account.
Bitrefill, for exemple, display a message to avoid adding a huge amount.
I know in such case Amazon asks for document much more than the police. I've been in the same situation during 9 months, and finally got my account back by playing the idiot village card Grin

Does this site require kyc on more expensive purchases, or is it no kyc across the board?

It has been years since I used the website but if I remember correctly there is no KYC verification for "Shoppers" but only for "Earners"

Interesting! Thanks for the suggestion, site bookmarked. I have never tried it before.

@FadedV1rtue
If you can't find what you are looking for, you can create a new thread in the Services section and ask if someone is willing to make the purchase for you with fiat, while you pay the person in Bitcoin. Be careful not to run into a scammer. Doing it that way would reveal your identity if you ship the item to your house.

for what I know no, they should not ask for kyc since it's like a p2p service.

I tried this already. they locked my account with $4k usd worth of giftcards in it. wasn't able to get that money back

I assume they locked it because in order to spend that money they require you to have an USA address registered and also a credit card linked to your account, right?

Because, that is lot of money and you should try to recover it somehow.

You can use almost any gift card provider to buy gift cards[1], and buy the goods yourself. The limits are usually high.
