1 x 24 hours, based on the time span needed or up to 2 x 24 hours. the transaction is in progress and this results in a long traffic jam. but don't worry your funds will remain safe. You just need to be patient because many transactions are the same at the time you do them.

Yes, it really is. But that's unlikely to change anytime soon.

There are a few free Bitcoin transaction accelerators online such as Btcnitro. Not sure about their effectiveness but they're free, so I don't see why not give it a shot. I've used them a couple of times and it does look like it confirms a little faster.
Most of them are just rebroadcasting your transaction, which is not gonna help when your fee is way too low. What you 'feel' is probably caused by a decrease in the transactions pool, and not related to those accelerators at all.

Help yourself by using RBF next time, and stop using custodial wallet or wallet where you can't set the RBF flags.

Hey guys, I made a Bitcoin transaction from my Blockchain.info wallet to a wallet created in Bitcoin Core but the transaction seems to be stuck.

I chose the "regular" fee option when sending the transaction from Blockchain.info, but it has been more almost 9 hours and not a single confirmation has happened.

Here is the transaction Id: 74a7cb0cbb221d9821a68b97cd06d49cc18810e2ca92c0545185688ba4d85392

Is there anything I can do? How long will it take? If it gets rejected, how long will it take to get the Bitcoins back to the original Blockchain.info wallet?

I also had one transaction, about a month ago, that took more than 12 hours to confirm, had used a medium priority fee (Through BitGo)

Once the network isnt clogged up then you would really be getting some confirmation soon. 26 sats/byte isnt something low for a transaction to be rejected. Check out mempool.space when you do tend to make a transaction and set out specific amount of fee depending on how fast you would like it for it to be confirmed. For now the only thing you can do is to wait or would do make out that rbf and raise up that fee.

yeah, will have to wait. is it taking so long because so many people are getting into bitcoin like in 2017 or why is the network so maxxed out right now?
It all matters with the demand specially if bitcoins price do really show some action ex. moving on higher price in short time.

This will really make people to be active on making up transaction on pulling out their coins neither on their cold storages or exchange to exchange transactions
which is the reason to clogged up.

quick question: do transactions that have been waiting to be processed for a long time get some sort of preferential treatment?
No, they  would always prioritize into those transactions that do set out bigger fees than to those lower ones.
When there's no  other  transactions left then thats the time they would be processing to those transactions left
with low fees.

however, on the blockchain.info block explorer the fees are given sat/B while the website lists the fees in sat/vB. can these be compared one to one or is there some conversion between those two units?
You can see the fee paid in sat/vbyte in other explorers. Click here to see your transaction in blockchair.
blockchain explorer shows the fee in sat/WU (satoshi per weight unit) which is 1/4 of the fee paid in sat/vbyte.

If you use segwit addresses (addresses starting with 3 or bc1) as inputs of your transaction, the fee paid in sat/vbyte would be higher than the fee paid in sat/byte.
As transactions are prioritized based on the fee paid in sat/vbyte, you can pay a lower fee if you use segwit addresses.

Since your transaction has been made from a legacy address (an address starting with 1), there is no difference between the fee paid in sat/byte and the fee paid in sat/vbyte.

i found a website that lists the time it takes for bitcoin transactions to go through depending on their fees: https://bitcoinfees.net/

good to hear. do you know what timeframe? hours, days?
It will be confirmed when the mempool is less congested, no specific time for that, but if less congested, miner will have no option than to include it in a block and it will be confirmed. But, just know that there is nothing wrong, your bitcoin is intact, and the transaction will later be confirmed. Do not bother yourself about it or panic so far you send it to the right bitcoin address.

Do not worry, the transaction will later still be confirmed, there has been mempool congestion recently after microstrategy purchased $10 million worth of bitcoin, that led to more people buying bitcoin recently, that is the cause of the delay in clearance time due to mempool congestion, the fee you used is not enough to make the transaction to be confirmed in time, but wait till tomorrow or Sunday.

I would have adviced you to pump the fee, but the transaction does not support RBF, you just have to wait, your transaction will be confirmed probably most likely tomorrow or on Sunday.
