Dude, you are the man! Did you use ViaBTC's accelerator service for this? I was under the impression that their accelerator was currently disabled. How did you successfully submit the transaction??

I think the this unconfirmed transactions issue is as result of Bitcoin’s user base grows, so does the average transaction fee. At most, there are only 7 transactions that are processed every second and everyone wants to get their transaction verified first.
At the moment, the average transaction fee is approximately $3.58 USD. This fee is certainly not ideal — if you want to send your friend a couple of dollars worth of bitcoin, you may end up spending more in transaction fees than the transaction value itself! Therein lies the problem, and if all else remains equal, transaction fees can be expected to rise due to the transaction bottleneck. I think you should wait for some time or use one of the accelerators link if you want it fast.

Wow. More misinformation being spread by users who don't know what they're talking about.

"At most", there can be up to 20 transactions processed and added to the mempool per second. It's all dependent on the sizes of the transactions. Yes, the average rate of transactions is between 3 and 7 per second, but the number does exceed that number quite often. At the moment, the average fee for transactions that are accepted into the mempool is $29-30, not $3.58. You're looking at the wrong number. You're looking at the average submitted transaction fee, including transactions that have broadcasted ages ago and will never get accepted into the mempool. You can set whatever fees you want, but that doesn't mean it will get confirmed.

You should look at the average fee of transactions that are confirmed instead of the average fee for all (unconfirmed) transactions in the network.

I'll check if I can grab one of those hourly free viabtc spot for you.
There's an unconfirmed parent tx that needs to go through first, so I'll start there.

The only thing you can do other than waiting is to try use some Free Transactions Accelerator from Services board https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=52.0
I usually advice to use the ViaBTC accelerator, but nowdays I just can't accelerate any transaction with them, despite of I'm looking at the clock to press the button at the very first second... It seems that too many of the bitcoin users are trying to get one of the 100 free spots, so I'm a bit confused what to do now... As a very last solution, I can use a paid accelerator service, I know, but I'm still not in a hurry with my own transaction, so I'm still trying ViaBTC.
I had a look at the free accelerators in the services section, maybe they worth a try

Last I heard, they disabled their free accelerator for the time-being due to a high volume of spammers. Edit: ah, it seems that the service is back online, but just overloaded at the top of every hour

Hey everyone,

A few days ago I did a transaction worth around 100 euros with a fairly high fee ($11) it's still not confirmed I've never experienced something like this before I don't really care to much since it's a small amount but still if this were to happen with a big transaction...

I used to cash out virtual items from games such as CS:GO etc.. to bitcoins and then sell it for real money, I've did this for over 3 years now and I quit doing it because I can't trust bitcoin anymore any of you have bad experiences with bitcoin aswell? let me know i'm interested!

If someone knows what's going on i'd like to hear it thanks in advance!

That is not a high transaction fee. The currently recommended fee is over 400 sat/byte, and your transaction only has a fee of 110 sat/byte, which is well below the recommended fee. You're going to have to continue rebroadcasting your transaction ID, or have to pay for an acceleration service that can guarantee to include your transaction in their mining pool within the upcoming blocks. Premium services are pretty expensive, so you may have to spend quite a bit to accelerate this transaction. Next time, be cautious about how you pay the fee. It's not based on the dollar amount, it's based on the satoshi amount per byte of data.

There is currently a huge congestion in BTC payments. The network is flooded and the transaction costs go up (supply and demand). You could check before making a transaction here:
