There is no such issue , i just got my weekly payment and more over
i just purchased a game online .
Everything went perfect for me .
Maybe you might have not done your transactions properly or something like that.
But i would like you to know that there is no problem in the block chain server.
So you can just show your receipt of the purchase , or if you are not receiving something
then ask that person to check his transaction log.

I would love to enter into your alternate bitcoin reality sometime. Kiss

what he failed to mention was his transaction IDs and looking at his account and what he described this is what really happened:
he waited at least 112 minutes to get his weekly payment and then spent it and waited at least 377 minutes for that transaction to be confirmed too. (and that is just for 1 confirmation not the usual 3 which services wait for)
so yeah everything is perfect Cheesy

I have made payments in btc and I have even received payments in btc but I have not witnessed this unending non-confirmation of bitcoin because I done these transactions not once or twice even recently and everything had gone smoothly. I am sure this will not be unconnected to the transaction fee attached to the amount sent. But its quite easier on blockchain that will even recommend the most cost effective price if at all you decide to put in more money for faster transactions.

What wallet are you using? Is it blockchain.info? Blockchain.info wallet is having some troubles right now. I saw some threads complaining about transactions not getting confirmed. If you are using this wallet, maybe use another wallet instead. You put $0.50 for the fee and still your funds not confirmed. Thats not normal. How much did you transfer?

I'm not sure It's just Blockchain.info Wallet. I took a look at https://blockchain.info/unconfirmed-transactions and saw that The Unconfirmed Transactions have gone above 65K unconfirmed transactions. Before now, The highest I have seen was 40K unconfirmed Transaction.

I'm not that technical to know why The Transactions not yet confirmed are too much. I have a pending transaction for over 2 hours now with No confirmation. That's the main reason why I visited this thread to know the reason why.

And no, I don't use Blockchain.info wallet.

Thanks Nelson4lov, I have a similar situation and I found your comments very useful likewise the link you posted. I did check and it's fast approaching 70k transactions and I'm wondering when my transaction is going to be confirmed because it's been over an hour.

IMO, it has caused by the spam transaction which means a lot of the transaction has got deprioritized, and that's why a lot of the number unconfirmed transaction.

I use btc everyday, but last few months i have been experiencing alot of trouble with btc transactions taking very long to confirm, while i do pay enough fees.
For example, i sent 2 transactions yesterday and i received 1. after arround 15 hours now, and none of these transactions are confirmed, while i am paying up to 50 cents for mining fees.

Some more people experiencing this? This really kinda defeats the purpose of using btc in the first place..

Everyything won't function perfectly. Whether human or bots error happens. This too a technical issue which needs to get solved though you've made a decent transaction fee. This is unavoidable, if the interlinked system over the entire country function receiving the same speed then you can expect the result with accuracy in time period. For this reason users won't give hope with bitcoin, it still serves a lot with its technology.

Chinese Exchanges dumping and Chinese Miners causing an increase in the fees needed to send BTC.
BTCC added a block with only 1 transaction, wasting the thousands of transactions that could have been in that 1 block.

many unconfirmed transactions at the moment, but i think it is still normal

unconfirmed transactions will get alot higher if they keep doing this,  Tongue

two important things you have to know about fees:

1) fees are calculated with size of the transaction in bytes not size in amount (bitcoin) you send. which means a bigger (larger bytes) you send needs more fees.

2) blocks are full, so there is a fierce competition going on between everyone. so fees keep going higher. you need to pay more to compete with others and get a confirmation.

see https://bitcoinfees.21.co for more info.
