USA is trying to stop and seize bitcoin and other digital currencies at the border.  Spread the word please!  I made an account to raise awareness to this.  I do not mine or have bitcoin account or use bitcoin but I like the idea and freedom it is suppose to bring.  Corrupt deep state in the USA is trying to forfeit your assets.  The sneaky bastards trying to sneak it in under the guise of "To improve the prohibitions on money laundering, and for other purposes."

Here is overview of bill.

Pay attention to section 13.  The People cannot let this pass.  You will hear a lot about this in coming days I think.

This will eventually happen whether we like it or not and its  tantamount to the continued popularity of bitcoin which eventually is getting the needed attention and this time from the legislators. It might be what we want, but its surely a step forward and I can't balme but those individuals who just use the opportunity of bitcoin to perpetuate crime. For me, I don't have anything to hide after all most of us have banks account who even have our biometric captures.

There is already a thread on this.

I don't understand why good threads on forums are ignored while the generic and pointless threads reach 50+ pages.

It seems like an industry standard.
It's because most idiots on this forum flock to threads where they can give a cookie cutter post like "i think bitcoin rise high and we make profits from trading" and blah blah blah.  These types of threads perplex their little piss brains.

Whatever.   I figured some kind of regulation was coming, probably in the holy name of homeland security.   Thanks,  trump.

Well I can't do anything about it since I'm in Canada and solely in Canada now, but I do think this is definitely something that has to be addressed and there should be a lot more talk about this than what I have seen thus far on the forum, assuming there are as many American users here as I think and it's not comprised of as small of an amount as I can imagine. This is something that goes after all aspects of a cash-based society anyways, and this is a massive issue for the average American since this would make a cashless society a lot more "interesting" if you just happen to be a political opponent of the government.

This is a path to licensing and KYC/AML requirements. This would stand BTC and other crytto treated as normal derivatives, like in forex trade. For now tokenization must be registered in USA (it is foreseen as a derivative), so technically - nothing changes for the USA beside that stock exchanges will require full KYC.AML mode and banking or trade license.

I don't say it is good. But it is normal evolution.

True. I think there are some ICO that offers that service just like OPENAnX? I don't quite remember when I've read the white paper but this will revolutionized the system in my opinion.

He's a newbie so he might not read all of the previous thread and then post this topic without knowing that this is already been posted. Ive also checked the threads link. The line " Welcome to America, where your assets are literally the government’s business, and freedom is anything but free." Really makes me sad. Sad

Jeez, the US really won't let its dollar challenged wouldn't it? Weird that countries like Japan and Australia are jumping the bandwagon and China basically tolerate it. This, plus other actions like leaving the TPPA, America seem to be isolating itself. Not the best strategy when you having emerging world powers eyeing to replace you.

Bitcoin- in bullish time
This is the example of the action of the government against bitcoin, they already know that bitcoin will become a dominant currency to the different countries so the government of the USA is trying to prevent this by declaring different laws against bitcoin because they can't do much for bitcoin because it is just decentralized and they are not capable of controlling it so they will just be anti-bitcoin.

Analysis is the key.
Jessasss..

“ Whoever, with intent to defraud, has custody, control, or possession of any material, tool, machinery, or other equipment that can be used to make, alter, forge, or counterfeit any obligation or other security of the United States or any part of such obligation or security, except under the authority of the Secretary of the Treasury; or”.

(b) Foreign obligations and securities.—Section 481 of title 18, United States Code, is amended by inserting after the paragraph beginning “Whoever, with intent to defraud” the following:

“ Whoever, with intent to defraud, has custody, control, or possession of any material, tool, machinery, or other equipment that can be used to make, alter, forge, or counterfeit any obligation or other security of any foreign government, bank, or corporation; or”.

this means anybody is criminal Wink
