Original devs? o.O  Since when did the developers of a bitcoin wallet become the original devs?

any fork of bitcoin that can not gain enough support will become useless. it doesn't matter what it is. and so far community has shown that they have more support for SegWit because it comes from the Core developers that have been coding for bitcoin for man years. so even if they are not tech savvy they go with Core that they have always trusted not a new one.

that means even if BU or any other proposal in the future forks, they will gain very small support and eventually become like the many altcoins that have forked from bitcoin in the past and die off over time.
that's the closest explanation about this btu if wont gather enough support will die since the original dev are not willing to let them to make any entry

Most probably whats gonna happen is Segwit will get activated and miners will start supporting it. The price will start increasing and rest of the people will start supporting Segwit and hence the fork will be cancelled. Its just what i am thinking going to happen . Today i read somewhere that BIP91 is supporting Segwit and this increases the overall support of Segwit . Currently Segwit holds more than 80% of votes that it should be implemented. Miners have time till August 1 to give support to Segwit . If they dont then the chain will split.

On the contrary, people are not thinking that a segwit will give them bitcoin unlimited. If you only observe a little more, most of the people are shaking afraid and panicking and even panic sell their bitcoins even at a loss.

There is no unlimited bitcoin as the amount remains the same. But there is no split, I am almost certain about it. There is only an upgrade happening.
A segwit implementation will not give people bitcoin unlimited because segwit and bitcoin unlimited are completely different bitcoin upgrade proposals. You are right though that many people panic sells their bitcoins now even at a loss, so at the end of the day, those people who panicked might regret their decision because bitcoin will recover anyway. For now I'll say that it is not certain if there will be a split or not, because the upgrades are not yet implemented.

ok.
when segwit is coming, people eventually think of Bitcoin Unlimited, but unfortunally, it's almost dead.

Why does a senior member thinks this way?  Huh Or is the senior here the account only and not anymore the holder?  Huh

What happens to BTU when segwit is activated?

This might be the one they call split. Bitcoin will be in two forms, one is the Bitcoin core and the other maybe Bitcoin classic. No one knows probably who the network will fall into but this will surely address problems bitcoin is now experiencing.
Whether by split bitcoin will change the quantity of the coin?

I think no, amount of your coins will remain the same. The only difference is that you've got now the power to choose what network you wanted (the one you think will succeed) or even use those coins at both network (can be done technically).

Currently there are two main changes suggested on Bitcoin - Segwit and larger blocks. Everybody agrees that Segwit should be implemented because it's an important software upgrade but there is disagreement regarding Bitcoin's block size. If there's a split there'll be one fork with Segwit and one with increased block sizes, potentially to an unlimited size (instead of 1MB).
