Generally speaking yes, alts used to follow bitcoin with some delay. However after sudden changes in BTC price (in any direction) alt prices used to drop first and catch up with the change in a few days.
Anyway, when bitcoin is on the rise that will generate an overall bullish sentiment all over the market.

Bitcoin price changes are more or less independent from any altcoin changes, except Litecoin in general. Of course if BTC price will go up twice, it is possible that many altcoin prices also go up.  Wink

I want to know from anyone who like to answer my above question.now bitcoin price is suppose $400 as compair to usd.If we compair any altcoin currency suppose of $1,in the current time, then after some days if there is any increase/decrease the valuation of bitcoin then it should be increase/decrease in altcoin also.is this write or not ? Generally i want to know what is the relation between Bitcoin and altcoin.

Depends...From what I've seen, alts tend to go down early on in a BTC bull market. Lots of beaten-down folks sell alts and hold onto the Bitcoin.

But later, once the Bitcoin bull matures a little, alts tend to benefit because "leverage". Not to mention FOMO. On the lighter side, a solid Bitcoin bull stirs up interest in cryptocurrency generally: some folks get curious as to what else is out there and like some of what they see.

tl;dr: First a drop, then a rise.

yeah unless the alt is famous enough to be priced in fiat directly like litecoin doge, and usually those swing that you see in those alt are because bitcoin fluctuate also

but some time you see that the price of bitcoin tanked while the price of your alt increased, this because they dumb bitcoin to buy the alt, since in that case there is no other way to buy that alt

In business term people do it in such a way, but when it is considered about the running technology alts were the followers of bitcoin which shows alts will end up decrease in price if the bitcoin gets a steep increase.

Let's say your altcoin is named ALT.

Let's say 1BTC = X$
Let's say 1 ALT = YBTC

Then 1 ALT = YBTC = Y*X$
1 ALT = X*Y$
Simple math.

Now, this is aproximative, because there's for each one the SELL price and the BUY price. But the difference is not that big to matter.
So if the ALT price in BTC is constant, and BTC price in $ grows, then ALT price in $ also grows.
