As I am aware of ETH doesn't have the cap for the coins. ETH will implement PoS that has its benefits like low cost of electricity to run the network, low amount of fees, but it also has some downsides! PoS is just some rich scheme where richers are getting richer by having their coins to stake. The more coins you have the more you will stake - thats why I am not the lover of this idea, as with PoW we at least don't have some rich scheme.

Its just that I don't like eth much as a currency, on the other side there are really cool projects built around it on its blockchain which is awesome for developers and for other decentralized thigs.

ETH like other alts depend on bitcoin, bitcoin is somewhat standard as when you look when btc price is raising the other alts are in the helthy position as people tend to put money in them. But we need to consider that there are excahnges like coinbase for instance that lets its users to trade ETH directly to fiat which means that it's price is not depended much on the BTC but it is as well, while most of the trading happen ETH-BTC.

As for now ETH has some potential but I think that BTC will be giant and will stay as it is now, it is the most recognizable crypto of them all. But if nothing happen with scaling, take into consideration that network is hardly handling these many transaction (some meme pools were even fool few days ago) more money will flow in alts such as ETH, DASH and LTC from my perspective as these are healthy chains whit lot of community support behind it.

But yeah will be interesting to see if BTC reach 2k$+ and ETH going for 150 maybe even 200$ till end of the year (note that these are my assumtions they might be wrong as well , do your reaserch never invest in something because someone just tells you to if you don't trust that person).

Eth should be around $300

Then BTC should be around 500$ or will they be meeting according to the graph which provided by the guy above? I don't think so. This does not mean ETH won't reach 300$ ever, yet this is really hard by the way.
