Hi there,

I`m new to this forum so I hope I`m posting in the right place Tongue

Anyway, I want to start mining but before I do I would like to test my Bitcoin Wallet (I`m using MultiBit)

Would someone please send me a small amount of money which I promise I will pay back?

If you will, reply on this thread.

Nick

Hey nick, if you want free btc you can find some giveaway here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=71.0
for test your wallet is work or not you can try this: https://multibit.org/en/help/v0.5/help_checkPrivateKeys.html

it is not cool to beg for money, specially from a brand new account with 0 activity. if you want free money you have better chance in looking for giveaways and working faucets rather than begging.

here you might find giveaways: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=71.0
and here are the faucets and rotators: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=212.0

Well blockchain wallet is pretty secure you can use it for sure without testing it, and if you do insist faucetbox can get you some btc for test in just a day using it.
Hope it helps.
Blockchain wallet is secure to a certain extent. Even though it has been proven that the private keys aren't stored on the server unprotected, this only prevents your wallets from outsiders attacks. They can still modify the code to capture your wallet password without your permission. For example, a vulnerability happened a few months ago which affected the RNGs of the wallets and thus generated unsecured private keys. The best client is still an open sourced desktop client.

We can pretty much let this thread die.  I don't think we will see OP again.  I think it was an attempt to get a little free btc ( i could be wrong).

But:

That makes me think he's not coming back to read thread.

Asking for coins with a twist???
Come on dude, you are basically asking for a loan which ain't allowed for newbies, that too in this section...
I think you deserve a red flag from everyone just because you posted something very different from your topic...
What do you mean by "testing wallet"Huh

I don't do the faucets any more, but the one I like best is moonbitcoin because the balance increases over time.  You don't have to keep goin gback every 15 mins, you can just check in once a day to cash out a reasonable amount of satoshis.

Asking for money is against thread rules.  But the payback part makes it a loan.   So was very close to a rule not to do.   No one is going to send btc.  As mentioned use a faucet make a small amount and you can have it in there.

What is point of having it in wallet to test?  You know it is going work if used right.  If you tell us what wallet your using we can give more help with it if needed.

couldn't you just use a faucet? they are good for this kind of thing, they are not really useless after all...

You don't need to test it. Just copy your private key to a secure place. You can test whether your transaction arrives your address or not by checking blockchain.info.
