ELECTRUM WALLETS HACK/SCAM REVIEW: I LOST $110,000

I opened my Electrum wallet today, January 18, 2007 and found out that on January 2, 2018 all my bitcoins (7.88014412 btc worth $110,682.86 USD) were sent to the following

Bitcoin address:1BhbPsVryBx9vBwLgaFRg2jY4Y1dh9i5vf

Electrum is claiming to have been hacked and my coins were stored in Electrum and there was no way anyone could access my computer as it stayed offline and powered down until I needed to access my bitcoins.

Electrum is the forum favorite until now if you see the stats. Only newbies still keep using blockchain.info wallet or other web wallets in which you the majority of the time don't even control the private keys, meaning don't even control your bitcoins. Electrum make it simple and it is one of the most secure desktop wallets out there. Anytime we have seen errors it has been from the user part and not from the Electrum wallet itself. Best free desktop wallet without any doubt.

Yeah, Electrum is definitely my favorite wallet to use. I used to use blockchain.info until they changed interfaces and made the site awful and then I switched to Electrum. Glad I made the change as Electrum is great.

People don't give enough love to Electrum. I think it is the best all around wallet out there. The latest version does a great job of estimating fees and also lets you mark a transaction as replaceable so you can bump the fee up as needed. The Android version is just as good as the desktop, the only feature lacking is hardware wallet support.
I hate having bitcoin wallets write to /appdata/ and Electrum comes in a portable version you keep in a folder on your desktop or carry on a flash drive. Support is very good also. You can reach the developer here on the forum if you have a problem.

+1 for Electrum.

I have pulled it apart over at Github and its fun to learn the code.  I frankly am not that great but I am learning more every single month.  My preference is Electrum + hardware wallet.  Nice review.

Electrum is a desktop Bitcoin wallet for Windows, Mac, and Linux. It is easy to use and simple for normal bitcoiners to send, receive and manage their bitcoins.
