that's why, before use the displayed address, check the top-right 3 points and network infos.
swipe to the left to view the blocks.
wait to see if it's OK.

and then, use the bitcoin wallet (and do a backup !!!!).

Hello,

I installed Bitcoin Wallet (v. 5.39) on Android a few days ago, and I didn't have had any transactions. However, my address changed (the one you see when you enlarge QR code on the main screen). I can still see the old one in the address book; I am interested in why it changed, and can I still receive payments using the old one, because that's the one I submitted on payment website earlier?

Thanks in advance.

A new address is generated on a bitcoin wallet after an event (ie a transaction) takes place.
A glitch on your phone could have caused the new address to be generated.
You can use ANY address generated by that wallet as they all have a private key stored and are all generated by a master private key.
