I think so. But we have not hit $2000 a piece yet. So lower your expectations. But $3000 is possible tho. Bitcoin always pump at the end of the year. So theres a very small chance to hit that amount. The possible amount is $2000-$2500 a piece. That's if massive adoption occurs.
I am still amazed that even if there are many problems like the transaction times and the increasing fees of bitcoin transaction, It is still going so much high. I have started of thinking it as a bubble, like that of 2013 bubble and it's gonna be bigger than the previous one and I can't even think if it crashes, what will occur to the investors who are buying in right now.
There isn't a transaction delay problem if you pay the proper fee, but fees are getting higher because the demand is too high and blocks are too small to fit everybody in. Everybody knows there is a problem with the current situation but the best solution available is activating Segwit, not HF.
Bitmain just should support Segwit just like they did it with LTC. HF will bring more trouble than solutions.
Aside from the high fees, everything is fine with bitcoin. We passed 1500, reached 1600$ already. One step more and its 2k$. It can happen anytime now, but there won't be anything like 2013 again unless bitcoin gets banned in USA or some similar major shit happens.
In 2013, Most of the trading volume was coming from Gox only. We lost %80 because we lost the major trading exchange along with the bitcoins in it. People gotten smarter after gox (hopefully) I don't know if anyone is still dumb enough to make trades on exchanges with all of his/her wealth now.
Sub 1300$ again? We'll see it again in the future, most likely.
Sub 1000$ again? There is a chance. If a big exchange goes gox > 900$.
Sub 500$ again? Almost impossible.
