Fees increased at end of last year because of ongoing spam attack. Fees in near future should not be a problem fro Bitcoin but in far future security of blockchain might be indanger because of to low miner reward.

Fee can be high in dollars, but in bitcoins that will be counted like couple hundred satoshis, thats not much. That fees were high, like 1 or 2 mbtc, but in dollars that was like more then 30$ in some moments, but who sends more then 1 bitcoin what is 1 mbtc, almost nothing.
I think price will grow to 250,000$ one day, it can happen in 4 years, it can happen for 10 years, but it will happen! I`m sure in that cause of my 3 years here, we are growing.

Exactly, I would say the same. It sort of too high to predict such price in such year. It's not as if I am not seeing the potentiality in bitcoin hitting that price in 2022, but we should be so moderate in predicting the price of bitcoin. And also be so realistic too. We should try not to over estimate because this is why most investors gives up easily.

The fee isn't related to how how the value of bitcoin is, so your comment doesn't really make any sense. The fee depends on the congestion of the network, if there are a high number of transactions at once, then only the highest fee transactions are included in the next block, it is simply a competition over space in the blockchain. Bitcoin could be worth $1,000,000 and still have extremely low fees if the mining power increases, or competition is low due to transaction batching.

Thank you for explaining this to me, yes your right bitcoin could be worth $1,000,000 and possible we pay a low fee, I just thought that if bitcoin price is high then the transaction fee as well so no more people will use bitcoin, but I'm wrong, I usually trade in exchanges mostly in exchanges set 0.001 to withdraw your bitcoin and I paid the highest fee which around $20 it was December when bitcoin reaches the highest peak and that is what I thought if bitcoin price is increase then the transaction fee will increase as well.

Hmmm, although all the predictions are the right of everyone but I think your prediction is too far.
it may happen every year bitcoin does continue to show a positive development. It's just my thoughts though, anyone can makes any prediction but bitcoin always surprises us with its own prediction, I was thinking that bitcoin should already be worth $40k presently.

What do you expect from a bigtime bitcoin investors like Tim Draper? Of course he will be very bullish and will say all sort of things to at least influence a lot of people. Just nice though to see some articles like this to counter those FUD around. But for bitcoin to reach this price, we need more people, more investors in the next couple of years to shove the price to at least $100K and then everything will change, and probably Tim's prediction will become true. Lets see how it goes.

This is year is 2018 and after 4 years it will be 2022. We don't know what is the future of the bitcoin maybe it will decrease the price or it will increase. But I hope the price of the bitcoin become very high so we can get more profit. The highest price of the bitcoin for me is $100,000 and that's very big amount and maybe it will not happen so if the $100,000 is less percentage to happen that for sure $250,000 is not really happen. Maybe the price of the bitcoin become zero in that year no one can know what exact happen to the bitcoin. But I hope even the price will not reach like $100,000 or $250,000 it will still alive become high again the price.

To me this seems just like a way to bring attention to himself yes the price of bitcoin is going to be higher by 2022 and I'll be very happy if we reached a quarter of one million dollars for each bitcoin but that is something I find very unlikely in my opinion at best were going to reach 50000 dollars maybe a little bit more but we are not going to be so far away from that number.

Wow, it too much to have such coin price and I'm not really in favor with that cause it won't give chances to some people having investment with bitcoin. I mean, people with limited amount of capital surely won't risk their money in bitcoin rather than they might jump into ethereum or on some altcoins as they can afford to have them.

Maybe some users will think like that, when bitcoin prices are getting higher than people with small capital would think to use other investments that cheap and to get bigger profit? that possibility may happen, but bitcoin itself has not reached that point, so why we do not invest in the most potential coins, I myself believe that bitcoin can reach that price with all its potential

What I think about this, it is a better prediction and more possible. Anything is possible in bitcoin, for a while in can go down but if you'll try to read the history and past charts of bitcoin you'll see that year after year there's an increase to its current price. Compare the prices before and it can go exponential base on its demand.

I think $250,000 by 2022 is really a possible thing for Bitcoin.

If you look at this Logarithmic Regression Chart which is from 2014/2015 you will see that you are probably right with your prediction. Looks like we should hit 250.000 somewhere around 2025. This chart is not updated but you can clearly see that predicted 25.000 in 2018 almost exactly. I don't know the source of this chart I copied a few years ago from the internet but feel free to donate to this address if you appreciate author and his work. This is why I left this address visible.

If somebody tells you that in January 2017 Bitcoin will be worth 25.000$ at the end of the year you would answer this same "this is not possible". Bitcoin phenomenon is all about "unpossible". This is mindblowing and hard to believe but how many times Bitcoin has to prove that this groundbreaking technology is unstoppable and better from any money system existing today. I know one day everybody will admit that. Maybe there will be some updates and additions to the code but the revolution started by Satoshi keeps evolving and already changed the world.

A new era of wealth distribution is ongoing we can't miss that opportunity. Never say this is not possible when you talk about Bitcoin.

I read this news earlier and this is good news with his knowledge in investing and his stature in the financial institution it will influence people who trust him to invest in Bitcoin and in the crypto currency market in general. For his speculation we all know that Bitcoin is unlike any other investment, price rises to the moon real fast so it is not impossible that we may reach $250,000 in a few years do not get me wrong I am pretty sure he has his own agenda on why he informed people that Bitcoin will reach $250,000 but more people buying Bitcoin will be better for us.

I believe it is possible since the statements comes from bitcoin bulls. But, I will truly believe it if they make another mass purchase of bitcoin as another step for their investment. 2022 is gonna be quick for me since I am only young but my problem is I still do not have enough money to buy at least 0.2 bitcoin. Why not ? All could happen. The future is uncertainty. It's just that bitcoin has been tested in recent years continue to experience price strengthening. The possibility of reaching high level price of bitcoin is there however reaching that far ($250,000USD) may seem to be very high. In my assumption, I think bitcoin will hit from $75K USD to $100K USD by 2022. Considering that more and more people will be investing with bitcoin until 2022, this assumption may be possible to achieve.

Who knows? Bitcoin could fall to 100$ or increase to 50.000$ even tomorrow but no one knows what is going to happen. From the past of bitcoin I think it is going to reach 250.000$ someday. A lot of experts day that day is going to be before 2022 but as I said no one could predict that. Until now there were a few people who predicted the price of bitcoin a few years ago and now they are saying the same thing but with bigger numbers. I think we should follow our present time because the future depends on our actions from everyday

it would be great if price reach that high in 2022! BUT as of now i dont see it happening its just too much. if we calculate the yearly increase of bitcoin in the market it still quite imposible to reach that high.. also, if we base our calculation from what happening today in the marketplace it would be imposible to reach 250K. but i surely believe that their is a significant increase of bitcoin from todays price compared in 2022 but not that high.

I think that 250.000 USD is a very exaggerated guess. Bitcoin is trying to get a fixed and line. Otherwise, huge increases cause only the market to become unbalanced.

I really hope it happens a lot sooner than that as I'll already be quite old in 2022, I would like some time to actually enjoy my money whilst I am still young.

That being said, 2022 does seem like an optimistic estimate to reach $250,000. I was thinking more along the lines of $100,000 or so, definitely still a great number, but not exactly life changing unless you have over a dozen BTC.

I think $250,000 by 2022 is really a possible thing for Bitcoin.

If you look at this Logarithmic Regression Chart which is from 2014/2015 you will see that you are probably right with your prediction. Looks like we should hit 250.000 somewhere around 2025. This chart is not updated but you can clearly see that predicted 25.000 in 2018 almost exactly. I don't know the source of this chart I copied a few years ago from the internet but feel free to donate to this address if you appreciate author and his work. This is why I left this address visible.

I think this is pure insanity. There are about 16.95 million bitcoin in circulation right now (there will be more by 2022, but lets just take that number). If bitcoin's price hit 250,000, the total value of all bitcoin would be 4,237,500,000 (4.2 trillion). Now consider that Japan, the number 3 economy in the world, has a GDP of about 5 trillion - that GDP represents EVERYTHING that they make (127 million people + some of the largest businesses in the world). So if someone thinks that an asset, tied to NOTHING, will rival in 4 years the 3rd largest economy in the world simply based on... what? FOMO? than I think that person is wrong. I'm not saying that its price won't rise, I'm not saying that bitcoin doesn't have value or purpose, but this kind of thinking is guaranteeing disappointment.

I think this is illusion. It will not happen. Many countries are restraining bitcoin development. bitcoin prices are falling freely. Many people are selling off their bitcoins to avoid losing money. Therefore, bitcoin will not reach $ 250000 in 2022.

There are lot of airdrops out there that are giving free tokens if you wish to have it and just convert it to bitcoin, but so far when you want to have direct free bitcoin, well, just rely on faucets but I suggest not to since they are just a waste of time.

I think you prediction is by the way too high. Although Bitcoin will rise but saying it will rise to $250,000 by 2022 is an exaggeration. I can agree with $50,000

Without any base why will btc rise and also at current situation a 3 moths target is good enough to understand how will market move. This year has not being a good start as few countries have banned it and thus we can see the impact on btc price.

It sounds like people looking for attention. he must only look up the 2017 price chart and ignore the charts of years before. although bitcoin has volatility, it doesn't mean bitcoin has no chance to be stable. $250k is too much for a price of a currency that is still having some issues in economic of the world. bitcoin is the only crypto currency that can lead to high demand. the demand will move to other crypto currencies when bitcoin price is too high. so then it is almost impossible for bitcoin to reach that price.

No it is not possible for Bitcoin to reach $250,000 by 2022. Bitcoin's price is very low nowadays and it is unable to recover at that rate which it used to did earlier.Its price can go up a lot but cannot reach at that level.Bitcoin's price depends on various factors.How much investment is done on it.The forces of demand and supply also play a role in determining its price.A very small percentage of people use bitcoin only.Many people have not heard about it.

That would be great, but it's just wishful thinking. Now bitcoin is going up again and we hope for a bullish trend, we could just hope it will last. 2022 is too far ahead to conclude that the price would be that high. If we look at this year, we should be glad if we see bitcoin reaching 20K at the end of the year.

Why not? It can happen and Bitcoin has proven this time and time again no matter how many haters discredited it. I learnt thay many haters called Bitcoin a fad during the early days and did not bother with it since they expected it to disappear quickly, but they were obviously wrong. Bitcoin has risen from $1000 to $8000 in a space of 1 year which proves that it can jump even higher over time. 8000 to 250k in a couple of years does not sound too crazy now if it jumps at x10 every year. Tim might be right.

Course in 200 000 dollars for bitcoin in three years? I do not think that this is real, given the current circumstances. After bitcoin grew to $ 20,000, such a large campaign was organized to discredit it and what it ended, we see. It certainly is in the realm of possibility but I don't put all my eggs in that basket at the same time. I believe we should be in a 6 figure range by then but even if we are in a high 5 figure range that also will be just as nice. Hard to say how regulation and international acceptance will effect Bitcoin, and for that reason I have my reservations.

Honestly, this sounds just like a random guess, people like to say that Bitcoin will reach some price by some year, but so far no one really made any accurate predictions - no one predicted that Bitcoin will go from $1,000 to $20,000 in just one year and then will crash to $6,000. No one predicted a few days ago that it will jump $1,000 in one hour. People were predicting that Bitcoin will keep increasing in the price for years, and historically they were right, because Bitcoin indeed continues to keep growing despite all the crashes, but it's almost impossible to make any precise predictions.

Yep. There is a very good possibility for that and I will be happiest person on earth if it reaches that price. The potential of Bitcoin is amazing and you can see from yesterday's trend that it rise almost $1000 within a day, this is what Bitcoin is loved by everyone in earth and this spectacular price rise is the key for its success.

I think $250,000 by 2022 is really a possible thing for Bitcoin.

I hope that it will reach that price by 2022 but predictions are only guess so its not 100% accurate. I really believe that bitcoin price will increase yearly and will reach again the peaked price last year which is $19000 and will surpass that price for the next few years but not that very high because many big investors or we so called whales manipulating the market so the price are in their hands.

$250 thousand dollars is a lot of money for 1 Bitcoin but it is possible to achieve by the end of 2022. More and more people start buying Bitcoin because they find it either interesting or profitable. To be honest I am here because of these two things. Of course everything is possible. Bitcoin can fly up to 250K, but also fall by 1000 and below. I don't understand what motivates the people who are predicting the price over many years. They certainly don't know how to see the future. I am guided only by faith in the cryptocurrency market.

This prediction is too much high no one is expect the 250k USD in 2022. I think it is another provacation because many experts are said bitcoin is reach 100k USD in 2018. But still this is fluctuating continuously so no one predict the future possibilities of bitcoin. This prediction also same way it will never happen in 2022.

Every time i hear things like this i can't help but think that it is impossible. But if you asked me a couple of years ago if bitcoin could become 20k i would have said the same thing. So what i have learned from bitcoin is to never assume you know what is going to happen, maybe it is 250k maybe it is 200 dollar again.
