Just like other things that stand out, Bitcoin will be bitcoin even without altcoins. Bitcoin doesn't need any altcoin, it doesn't depend on any altcoin. On the other hand, all altcoins depend on Bitcoin and without the existence of Bitcoin, altcoin will not be created. Sure that Bitcoin's price is somewhat moved by the investors of altcoins, but that still doesn't mean Bitcoin owe altcoins anything.

And they say they can stand alone. If indeed those altcoin can stand alone it will still be a problem once bitcoin is deleted in the system. How could they gain more users if the biggest one can just fall like that.
The only reason why an altcoin cannot stand alone is because you need Bitcoins in order to buy an altcoin. But, if an altcoin is to make an exchange website that accepts fiat, that altcoin will have fiat to depend on. That's the only way it can be bought without depending on Bitcoin but, why would people go such trouble just to purchase an altcoin. It would be really inconvenient when you're in the bitcoin world and you'll need to convert it to fiat first just to buy an altcoin.
There are some altcoins that also have fiat exchanges, and most of them still aren't being propped up by that. Most have abysmal volume and don't really do anything on the market, and thus they kind of just end up falling into obscurity. There isn't anything to keep a lot of altcoins alive aside from speculation, and that's just because they've been stigmatized to basically always be seen as a speculation tool rather than a technological advancement.

I don't agree, I think Bitcoin owes a lot to altcoins. What you say is true that Bitcoin would still be here even if altcoins didn't exist but it wouldn't be nearly as popular as it is today. It would probably still only have a few thousand users right now. Most people just wouldn't be interested in getting into Bitcoin since the gold rush period is long gone.
New altcoins means new gold rush periods and people want to be early adopters in case the coins take off.
It is simply not possible to dream with Bitcoin anymore. Sure people can say, it will reach $1000's of dollar in the future but deeper down they know they're grasping at straws.
New coins, on the other hand have real chances of making people serious money, they all start out the same way as Bitcoin did, worthless and easy to get but have the potential of reaching the moon. And the altcoin incentive drives people to convert their Dollars to Bitcoin.

Bitcoin would be fine without altcoins if it was ever really an issue, altcoins are mostly just speculation using Bitcoin anyways (on top of the speculation that comes out of the market for Bitcoin itself) and there aren't really any effects on Bitcoin if it gets removed. There might be some people who are effected if they exclusively mine altcoins, but a fair amount of people would have to worry or care.

Bitcoin without altcoins it will become bad (especially for traders who has not much capital) because trading bitcoin to fiat need much money but because of altcoins traders who has low capital can trade even if using low capital and make profit on trading.

I dont think there are allot of people who like to use the bitcoin without the altcoin becuase what will the bitcoin be without altcoin it will be the same becuase they dont work together

People would probably like using bitcoin without any altcoins because altcoins are nothing without bitcoin but bitcoin along can stay strong, but the only thing that would bother the users is trading will not be available which is a big source of earning profits for bitcoin users.

Altcoins are just based off of bitcoin and it's only purpose is to enable trading to with bitcoins. Or at least I think that's why they exist.
Bitcoin would work just fine without altcoins, although it would suffer some setback because there are a lot of bitcoin users who are in it just for the trading.

Bitcoin without altcoin is worse because alot of the attractiveness comes from trading and then if that would be out of the game alot less people would be interested.
If less people are interested then bitcoin will fail and price will fail and it will not get mass adopted which is our goal.

I think it would be better and more stable to have no altcoin because of altcoin alot of people are just playing the market.
Playing the market may be positive for them but it can have negative outcomes on the bitcoin price and that makes it less attractive for alot of people.

Bitcoin itself a altcoin. But Bitcoin is counted as Prime currency in cryptomarket.

I think altcoins are later experiments after Bitcoin so it may not affect on bitcoin rather price of bitcoin might be high than current price. Already in 2012 Price of Bitcoin was reached to 1151 USD.

All altcoin come with same technology used for bitcoin. And without blockchain no altcoin can be evaluate.

It will not make a big difference, but alt coins have helped bitcoin become popular. Altcoins are used to buy bitcoins. Without altcoins, bitcoin prices would go much higher and we would have only option of trading in Bitcoin/US Dollars

I do not really know what than would happen with the bitcoin, I think the price would be a lot lower plus that it also would not be so popular as now.
Trading would also not be like it is now.

We all know that altcoin gives bitcoin a demand or buy pressure by attracting more investors outside from bitcoin community.  Most of the bitcoin community never look at altcoin and think that this altcoin will only take their BTC, so the result is that this altcoin will get new community outside of the bitcoin community and then introduce it to bitcoin for the trades.
