Slow ? last time I did a international wire transfer it took 2 weeks before it was complete and confirmed ... credit cards take months before a merchant is 100% sure there won't be a charge back ... and so on ...

Last night I sent my first Worldcoins from one wallet to the other. It took - I coundn't belive it less than 15 seconds.

This question, along with "how much will bitcoins be worth long term?" seem to appear every  day. I'm sure the answers are in the stickies but lots of people still don't get what stickies are unfortunately.

Perhaps if stickies were changed to "FAQ"s alot more people would look at  them before posting the same questions over and over. Just a suggestion.

Yes its normal. Although the block time is supposed to be 10 minutes, its a stochastic process so the variance means it could happen in as little as a minute or as much as an hour.

Is it normal for a transaction of about 3-10 BitCoin to take 15+ min to start 'confirmations'? I use BitCoin-Qt set at 0.001 transaction fee and it is sloooooooowwww........
