I won and lost a lot of money on betcoin.ag poker, I had amazing wins in moments when I thought that everything is lost, and I lost when I was 100% sure that I will win, that is poker.
Now I will tell you about bad reputation, it was cause of betsoft slot and that has nothing with poker or other casino game providers. What happened is that Jason, name of the guy who played that slot, played and scored amazing jackpot and won big amount of bitcoins. Problem was in one thing, he won that jackpot while he played with deposit bonus money, and there is some rule that people can't win jackpots with bonus money, just to be clear that kind of restrictions slotcasinos have, in some casinos you can't play slots with progressive jackpots when you deposit money with any bonus. There are no other options for poker in Bitcoin/Altcoin except the ones already mentioned here. If you really want to play poker with bitcoin you have to go with one of them. Nitrogen has the best reputation compared to other poker providers named here. I agree that the bitcoin poker websites have very low traffic compared to FIAT poker websites. This is something that they need to fix.

If you are a poker player then I suggest you playing it in land based casinos or with your friends face to face. You see, poker can only be enjoyed when you have opponent sitting in front of you. After all, bluff can be only read under such circumstances. Still, it is up to you but poker is not an internet game in my opinion.

Check nitrogen, there are plenty of players though not sure if there are a lot of players at the paid tables. I just usually play the hourly free tournaments, and just play it for fun and not really for purposes of winning money. I've never won the tourney though, I'm bad at bluffing an all in.
